You are probably right about that "C"; and about the swastikas: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swa...
lv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugu...
So the whole drawing has likely nothing to do with Nazism. Anyway, to avoid any misunderstanding, since the swastika is mainly known throughout the world for its link with Nazism, I'd be for modifying the mascot a little
My deepest respect for all those cultures that started to use that symbol earlier...

After wwii, my friend, anyone who wears that symbol in international forum has some nazi feelings.
Incorrect. They may be perceived to have some nazi feelings, but that is often not the case.
Well my friend, that´s how I perceive. And the vast majority of the people. TG we can still have different opinions, right?
Then may be you should use a chance and learn something about another culture - not just lock up in common perception of things, heh?
Latvian ornamental signs can resemble lot of things:
valoda.ailab.lv/kultura/k...
Given sample looks like a detail from "Lielvārde Belt" - specific type of decorating symbols..
lv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie...
www.google.co.uk/imgres?i...
It's always possible to find more - but not to hide behind "majority"..
Good luck!

Probably I know about it more than you do...
Common perception is really really important on an international forum.

Absolutely. The problem with the common perception issue is that without people learning the truth and understanding the facts, common perception will Never change.
There was a time when common perception labled black people and woman as worthless. I'm just saying.
But that aside, on a place like this, symbols that can be taken more than one way are best left aside .

Sorry, but you can't know about my country and culture more...
People's minds are too limited to be able to live today and in the future.

Mate, as Templier said, you can't know about our country, our culture and symbols more than we do
You are just hilarious and you know why? Me, Maxios and Templier, we are Latvians
Have a good day

Or maybe you are just three guys looking from inside the box...
This has nothing to do with some people feeling offended by your culture or symbols, or "living in darkness", but with the connotations of swastikas.
As you may know, they became sadly world famous because of the Nazism, even though they have their roots in other older civilisations, and therefore have different meanings for each of the latter.
Taking that into account, I don't see any reason for you getting upset, even if you -Latvians- had to change slightly your mascot in the end
