quick thought for whoever wins the election - you will need to start scheduling friendlies ASAP for next year. This year Bulgaria ended up waiting to schedule and because there are an odd number of teams they ended up not playing any friendly games at all...
I'd recommend whoever inherits the team add everyone on the team to their followed list (and I'll send you my spreadsheet with their relative values if I have them) - drop everyone off the team currently there and then re-add the ones you want for the first few games. I'd try to keep 28 active and called up for each game - maximizes the training and experience benefit for the country.
I tried last year to leave myself enough roster space to add guys throughout the year to maximize our flexibility long-term to allow us to add new stars from the academies (didn't pan out that well) or to add guys to replace injured or camp'ed players (worked out better)
You will have a limited amount of time to set your initial roster and a limited amount of time to get some games scheduled (last year we played too many road games too - another thing to kind of watch) so whoever is running should be prepared to spend considerable time in the first week or two going through players to find the ones they want. It took me about 30 hours to find the list of guys I was interested in.
(if you're interested - I went through each league's top scorers for each season, each league on the info page to see top OTR and top AQ guys and then through each league's transaction page to see if anyone was sold off to a foreign team)

damn - that was a good game. 5th shooter in the shootout won it...let's hear it for Graham Boston!
I notice we really dropped off late - and they got 4 of the 5 shots in the overtime. Might have to tweak the lineups again to try to bring in some guys with more energy...

Wow we won that game in shootout, good game. Buckley was 100% in shootout, not bad...
, and off course my boy G.Boston was the the only one who scored yeah baby...
))

We can all thank Buckley for win tonight...
. Let's win it all and advance to top division, let's go USA...

Shouldn't it be the top 4 qualify? They have 4 groups up there so i'd think it's the top 4. Who knows though.
Well, Waldo is pretty good at faceoffs, and from what I gather the other centers too. I think we're very deep at center.
