Yeah but I don't think most people are going to jump on board with that. The 5 players and 5 staff. I defiantly wouldn't of until a couple days ago.
One thing I didn't like about the 11wait period was when I signed up for hockey. I already had 50+ experience in handball and basketball. So I knew how the game worked. I didn't have a problem with it when I first started. Although I was familiar with the this "style" of sim it was nice to see how ppm worked compared to the others I've played.
The competive nature I have it was such a downer see my handball and hockey teams getting beat so badly to top teams in the division. So I was glad I signed up for basketball when I did the faster pace didn't hurt either.

The Helpers, mostly me and Obryantj, do send a welcome message to every new manager in the US (plus every other English speaking country). My message warns them about the dangers of buying staff(and their near ineffectiveness in small facilities), spending too much on players(limit yourself to 100k per player), and I even send links to some articles to help them save some money/learn how to play. I offer to answer any questions, no matter how silly. And I link them to the forums because most people are more than happy to help.

Yep. I've had to help several people get out of this type of mess. The staff market kills because it's way too cheap to buy staff with ridiculous daily salaries. I think most people don't even realize that salaries are paid daily. Once they realize their mistake, they're in dire straits and can't even afford to fire the staff! Maybe they could remove the penalty for firing staff?
Another big reason for the 11 day wait is to prevent cheating. Multi-players will start a new team to buy their crappy players from their real team for 3M. The thinking is the cheaters will get caught before the 11 days are up, or they won't want to wait 11 days to do so. This way they can't funnel that money to their real team.
I still think new teams should get access to the players market earlier. 3M isn't a big deal anymore. But I would keep em off the staff market for at least a season. Maybe even make em wait until their facilities are level 9-10 or something.

Hard to say. Definitely tell them to read the guide. Maybe explain some confusing things. I don't no what was confusing to you guys when you guys first played.
a cheater can wait 11 days no problem to cheat. specially when we're talking about people who plays for more than 2 years in this game. 11 days is nothing ..
I would support a one time entrance fee upon signing up. Maybe provide a full season of Pro-pack as well as enticement. It does 2 things, helps curb cheating, and allows a manager to really get used to the pro-pack, maybe dependent on it,after all, stats can be addictive

Likely no way around it i reckon. I commend PPM for being diligent and busting them. I strolled through every USA Basketball team a few days ago, i cant tell you how many clubs i saw that were blocked,, for whatever reasons.....cheating will always exist.

Come on guys this is not a little thing. We got the W we can enjoy it. Plus they are ranked way higher then us in the rankings.

I like this idea, but I think 5 is a bit excessive. i seem to recall they started B-ball with the ability to do one transaction in the market. Maybe somewhere in between is good.

So there's this challenge to play "Tennis Mania." I'm really only doing it for the PPM credits / benefits, but I thought I'd mention that I get an error any time I try to "practice" (literally the first required task). Seems like a pretty big bug given that the entire game is locked behind these introductory challenges.
Even if I had wanted to play the game... I wouldn't be able to do so. Kind of ruins the whole point of a promotion that's likely gamed at getting more people to play the "Tennis Mania" game, no?

Had the same issue at first. Seems to be fixed now.
