I hear what you're saying, but it never works for me. Even when I toned it down a bit against the Coronas, I didn't score until I raised the intensity in the second half. Good on you for using it successfully. I wish I could.
And a much needed win over the Wildcats in their stadium with the weird ass name.

Yeah. You were kicking the crap out of me until he was sent off. Although I didn't think that losing a forward should make such a huge difference in your defense. I went from 0 shots in the first half to 11 in the second.
Speaking from experience playing the sport, losing a man regardless of position is really tough to overcome. If you go down a player early in the game, the team is going to be wiped out by the end of the game. The other team always has a man open so theoretically can make you chase shadows if you will.... not sure how the game engine in this factors everything in, but just my perspective.
I would just like to put my thoughts into this whole "newer teams can't reach top tier". This is just speculation. I want to be the first team to start after season 3 to reach I.1. I think it's possible to get there, it's just up to the managers to find the most effective way of building their team.
A Canadian team did it in hockey, and I think he started in season 7 or something. It's definitely possible to reach I.1, the problem is staying up there — let alone winning it.
Oh I was talking about in soccer. It's much harder, and I looked back and I'm pretty sure the latest registered team ever to make it to I.1 started toward the end of season 1(I might be wrong and it may be the 3rd season).
Only 5 teams have played in I.1 that did not start on the first day of the season. The Big Cigars, Resovia, Baton Rouche Bombers, Team USA, and Mouth Breathers. All still started in season 1.
Teams go inactive, we lost 4 managers in I.1 last season who all started day 1, so its not impossible for your team to make it. I just hope you can make it because you've found a way to compete with top teams rather than because a lot of top teams quit.

How about today's match to throwa wrench into things? I lost a much more important player in Dman Paquet, but still managed to steal 3 points. This is when a defensive breakdown should happen
