Now i have enough money to upgrade the last levels of 2 facilities.

jaja, I'm in NYC for the summer (internship), do you have any tips?
That's exactly my attitude towards the NBA. I'm a fan of the Spurs since Manu Ginobili arrived in the early 2000's. I love how they play, even though a lot of people have said they play boring basketball, I really don't see it! I really like the way they move and play as a team, as they've done for years! Anyways, the Finals are the best!
Spurs play real basketball and its is Very exciting. I love seeing the ball passed around like crazy. Im sure the Camera operators do as well.
They play Euro basketball. I always compare Spurs to Red Wings. They both trust European players and have success.
And, like the Red Wings, they have maintained success for way over a decade. The Spurs have 17 consecutive playoff appearances, and the Red Wings have 23 consecutive appearances. Interesting comparison.
Lol, I'm preety sure they rue the day the Spurs hired Pop!
I don't follow hockey, so I can't really talk much about that subject. I feel like I know enough about basketball to talk about this though. Anyways, why don't more teams do what the Spurs and the Redwings do, by looking for world-class players in Europe you can get for a bargain. You can do as the Spurs have done this past decade, by having an amazing quasi-American Center, a world-class French-Belgian PG, the best Argentine basketball player in history at SG, as your Big-Three. And then compliment them with great players from around the world: a French PF, an Australian PG, a Brazilian C, and then the best of the best from the US, with the Americans SF/SG Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and the fantastic defender, SG/SF Danny Green
That is not how basketball works, they still have to enter the draft. Not to mention 90% of the European players couldn't play in the NBA. Those that think they can hold out for a ton of money like Nikola Mirotec on the Bulls. They drafted him 3 years ago and he hasn't played a second for them because he wants 10M+ and is completely unproven in the NBA.
Plus it is a lot more difficult to scout Euro players compared to an American player in the NCAA. If you're trying to figure out how well a college player's abilities will transfer to the NBA, you can watch him play against a college like Kentucky, Kansas, or Duke, as a lot of their players will end up in the NBA so you can see how they match up. It's not perfect, but they're a lot easier to scout than the Euro players who may not be playing against the highest competition.
This is exactly what I'm talking about! The fact that it's harder to scout players from Europe than those playing in the NCAA is what I mean by that the Spurs have amazing scouts. Even without seeing them match up to schoolslike Duke they are still able to pick out the Euro players that can excell in the NBA. Regarding the previous comment, ik how the draft works, and what I was talking about was that the Spurs take the gamble with drafting Euro players, while other teams would rather draft average college players that often can't cut it in the NBA
That was more of a response to the "why don't more teams do what the Spurs do" comment. The Spurs do have amazing scouting, and they also were able to integrate the Euro players into a Euro-American hybrid system so that the foreign players were still effective. When you look at the foreign players that get drafted to other teams, they normally aren't as effective as they could be because the team would essentially have to redefine their system to make them work.
I really wish teams could do what the Spurs do, and play like they do, but there is a reason they are the only ones to make it work.

I don't think it has anything to do with getting foreign players. I think it's more about developing the right players (American or not) for the right roles within the team. And that's true for any sport. You also have to play these players during the regular season so that when the playoffs come around they have the experience needed to play and hopefully even raise their level of play. It's a similar situation with Portugal at the World Cup. They have one of the greatest players in the history of the game in Ronaldo, but the supporting players are not that good. Or they may be really good but just not on the same page as a team.

I'm surprised that I managed a tie against the Bleeding Wildcats today, especially since my best player was injured.
I seem to have started out the season well so far - I'm already only 2 wins away from my ultimate record from 3 seasons ago. I will probably still struggle to avoid relegation in the long run, especially since I really haven't invested in my lineup for a while.
