Man, I'm still not entirely convinced that you won't be stealing 3rd from me with a win in the last game of the season on Sunday. Realistically, I ought to be winning my next two games, but my lineup is just getting weaker and weaker with injuries and fatigue.

I figured out what I was doing. I use the default tactics for hockey and handball. Soccer has several different tactics since my team is actually somewhat relevant. Grrr.

4th place still gets into the ChL, right? That's a huge screw up.

Huh, just noticed something interesting: as long as I hold on to at least 4th, the top 4 teams in the NC are the same as the top 4 in the league.

That sucks all over the place. A win makes the battle for the last ChL spot a hell of a lot more interesting. A loss and the battle for first continues. Either outcome would have been more interesting than a 1-1 tie.

Thanks. I was really hoping a win today would clinch it...my team has sucked on the road lately, so Thursday's game is questionable at best, and anything could happen if it came down to that last game. Also, this way I can throw everything I have at the ChL semifinal tomorrow.

Yeah, I was considering it, but I didn't want to pass up my chance to finish in as high a league standing as I will probably ever reach.

The nice thing about playing Arlington Betamax for the last game is not having to worry about messing with other people's standings if I decide to not burn much energy on an OTR-only game. I also started training camp already, and with my glut of 15 year olds acquired this season taking up most of the spots, I'll actually be able to field a somewhat competitive team for the league cup for the first time in a long while.

Not that id intentionally but, but like in real life , just offer some credits to the team that has nothing to gain or lose to play hard and win.

Job well done holding on. When you mentioned your energy situation, I assumed you would fall. Not necessarily to me, but I still expected a drop.

Now I just have to hope to hang onto 5th. Ewok's are down there in the standings, but I've had a ton of trouble with the bottom of the table this season.
