I don't mind if someone I know and regularly chat with sends me an invite to a tournament. But random spam to me is no different than begging for credits, because that is essentially what they are doing.

I agree and I am sure that they're dealt with appropriately.

Keep in mind though, that the main source of income for PPM is the credits that are bought so someone who is getting people to buy more credits may be dealt with..... slowly hehe. Pure hypothesis but if I were running a company with that business model that is how I'd let it play out.

i don't think its being dealt with at all because theres not a specific rule against it. But if anyone is reading this they may as well save the typing I AM NOT JOINING CREDIT TOURNYS, NOT TODAY NOT EVER.

Simply put there is no way my team is going to win and by asking to join (excluding friends sending an invite which I already said I had no problem with) they are simply asking me to donate my credits to their prize pool. And that is not going to happen.

and then no sooner do i type that and someone else sends me an invite. lol, in a language I can't understand. and its not as simple as changing the "cs" or whatever it is to "en"

would you join my tournament then ?

see now popaji, i would actually consider a tourny you were running, much like i did when I think it was canucks that sent me an invite. Because it would be about supporting your tourny and competing against people i know. thats worth 10 credits win or lose.

I don't know what actually happened here, but I guess you were spamed somehow and it wasn't the right approach obviously.
I might also find it difficult not to participate in a friends tournament, but I must stress out that making one tournament is a difficult job especially when people you know are joining because your invitation. I was in similar situation regardless the fact I had almost no influence in tournament rules, etc. It wasn't mine tournament, that's all. TB and cavaleen know well what I'm talking about.

basically I got two e-mails today about joining two different credit tournys, both from people I have never spoken to and both times they sent me links that weren't in english. So even if I wanted to join it would have been a pain for me to try and find a form I could actually read.

And then I added that if someone I'm friends with and talk to a lot sent me an invitation I wouldnt be bothered. And I might even consider joining.

But I really think the rules about transfers and friendlies should be the same for credit tournys.

I highly recommend to make your team good in order to avoid credit tournament invitations. No one is keen to invite me...

LOL good point! My team, based on league results anyway, really really really sucks this season and I have yet to get a tourney invite this season. Not that I'm complaining about no invite anyway...
