To be sure, I understand that it would take time to change the engine and to make it in a balanced and sound way.

But imho, the basic decision if you change it or not should be taken as soon as possible - and announced to the managers. The longer you'll wait, the more starting 12+2 and training specialists settles in. And the more people would be angry if things as fundamental as this were changed eventually.
At the moment I don't see real disadvantages playing totally different offense and defense - if managers can afford it, which in the short run may not be all of us (as I argued above, eventually we all need 14+ compatible players). Suppose this tactic becomes very common and is dominating the circus, then you'll have an absolutely non-realistic manager, which I guess is not what you want. Then the choice would be to either annoy a lot of managers or to keep the system as flawed as it would be by then.
This scenario is not too far-fetched I think and it's not a good one. Just my opinion, of course.

If it is not implemented that easy and that fast so why not announce it now for the 4th season?
So everybody has enough time to adapt and nobody can be annoyed for making a game more realistic and therefor better.
Or ppm goes the easy way and keeps it. So in the long run all teams will play with two special teams like in american football. But then you should at least rename the sport and creating something new cause right now with complete change of the team it is not really handball.

It's unrealistic because in real world you can be perfect at shooting and at defense.. in PPM it's impossible because you cannot train both at the same time..
It's perfectly "doable" in real handball, it just didn't happen because it's not necessary.

We can compare it with futsal, which also have rolling and infinite substitutions..and it's perfectly possible (and happens in top matches) to change all the squad at the same time without conceding a goal.

If they change this it wil be 3-4 max players subed, so if you prefer to play that way you wont lose much. If you train 6 defenders you will get 2 reserves

Excuse me? It is doable in real handball to exchange all players when changing from offense to defense (in case the clock hasn't stopped)? Is that what you want to say?
If yes, you are talking about a different sport...

And no, you can't compare it with Futsal in that respect - you could compare Futsal with ice hockey though, regarding changes and line changes.

To be clear, the real point here is changing from offense to defense while the opponent has ball possession and play hasn't stopped.

The problem is more that managers don't have players that can play both ways, not that they will have to many that only can play both ways.

But they should announce it one season before thay change, if they do so, so it will be time to build up a new team.

Why in ppm you can not train attack and defense at the same time? Training the attributes of attack and defense with the same ratios do not?

I am not familiar with the futsal top matches, but, they do the changes throughout the game or at specific times? have different alignments to attack and defend?

It's maths, you cannot be top attacker and top defender at the same time in PPM... you can be avarage in both (ex: 50 in shooting and 50 in blocking) or you can be very good in one of them (ex: 100 in shooting or 100 in blocking)..

Ok, I understand. Well that's the reality of handball. There are no perfect players who are geniuses in attack and defensive (one or two in the world Jackson Richardson for example).

Right, like in handball (more or less), and not all game as you can do on PPM (attack and defense)

Well.. but maybe the current solution is good.. we will only see the true effects of it in a couple of seasons, because at the moment, even in those teams that opt to change everybody the difference in terms of shooting and blocking in the player is still very small

Right too, the difference is still very small, do not see why so much concern if they made the change. I have clear all my players will be different from now until 2 seasons

Another solution could be to add a penalty to those who use this tactic only against the fastbreak of opposing teams or vice versa, give a bonus to using fastbreak against these tactic.

Hmm, it's not that small actually. My offensive players got 40-55 in shooting and 20-25 in block, my defensive got 40-55 in block and 20-25 in shooting. Will take some time to make them right.

I bought 3 players, that have qualities only for shooting or only for blocking. They were pretty expensive, because they are excelent now. If the rules will change, they will be useless and their price will fall down. I would never bought them if I know, that rules will change. Who will give me back my money? I think, that I'm not the only one.
