נושא: How To Calculate Shooting Strength?

While looking into how goaltending strength works I may have figured 2 other things work.

1) How to calculate your team strength (stars) from the pucks shown on the lines in a game summary.
2) How to calculate your exact shooting strength (stars) using the values of your players shooting stat alone.

Privacy:

Like Canucks did, I am asking for some data, I won't share it with anyone except possibly anonymously with a peer to help check (but I won't say from which team the shot attrs came from).

I will share all results of how to calculate this with the participants.

All that being said, if you want to post your stuff open in the forum feel free to, it really won't give anything important away!


What I need:

A list of all the shooting attributes of the players from your game on Monday or tomorrow or Friday who played that day (except goalies).

I don't care what order you send the lines in, just make it have the 3 forwards and then 2 dman... no spaces, just a new line after each value.

I want it listed like this
line X forward shooting attribute
line X forward shooting attribute
line X forward shooting attribute
line X defense shooting attribute
line X defense shooting attribute
line Y forward shooting attribute
line Y forward shooting attribute
line Y forward shooting attribute
line Y defense shooting attribute
line Y defense shooting attribute
etc. etc.

I also need the number of stars you have for shooting on your team's profile page. If you send me this from monday's, tell me what the stars say now.
If you send it to me tomorrow, wait until after the game, about.. 2-3 hours after, the stars will be updated. Same goes for Friday.

Please check over your data for accuracy!

Ketch talk to Stan you NOOB! hehehe LOL I do have a working formula. Shot likely the easiest to settle on as uneffected by energy. No bonus for chem and EXP I found! I'll get my shot to 15 stars some day! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Thanks guys, for further people (since I'd like to get 10-20 tests on this to prove it) please exclude extra new lines and puck ratings (you can add it after if you really want to )

This is working out really well!

Thsi is helping me spit out optimum Lines in my java program that I whipped up... Excellent.

The formula I was using is a little short of 21. Clearly I'm not correct. LOL
