I've asked for this before - but it'd be really nice if I could put a 4th liner on the PP. I'm being deprived of my own Marc-Andre Bergeron.
Then put him on your third line.
You can't use 4th line players because of the ability to remove the 4th line.
You can adjust your line's ice time now... Technically I could put my stars on the 4th line and give them the most ice time.

That's what I did. Put my PP or PK specialists on line 3, made ice time lower. Then put my good guys who won't play PP or PK on line 4 but matched ice time between lines 1,2 and 4.
He is forced into 3rd line duty. I suppose I *could* lower their ice time below the 4th's but I also want to be able to run 3 power lines, and that would take that option away from me.
It's not like the 4th line hits the showers mid-game when they stop rolling. I imagine they're sitting on the bench watching, so I don't understand why I can't tap ol' Marc-Andre on the shoulder to hop over the boards.

It's the way the game is programmed. 4th line can't do PK, PP, SO or C/A. Something about the coding and it's a huge undertaking to correct it.
Hmmm That's a fair argument we'll just have to see what happens in the future.
I accept the "huge undertaking" argument, if it's right, but I still disagree with the setting in principle.
I would be nice if we could change the game importance for the prolongation period. We can change after 1st or 2nd period but why not after 3rd ?
Its a lot of extra data true, but with the computers these days, I would think that the data involved wouldn't be that big of a deal after the programming is completed.
mind you, I don't know how much of this games stats are posted manually and how much is a macro on the main computer....

An "edit post" function in the forum would be extremely helpful. I'm too stupid to think things through before I type, then want to add more and end up posting like 4 messages before I get out what I meant to say.
Shootout results should count towards 3SS and AS. The 3SS from this game is obviously backwards:
