i lost datsyuk/zetterberg in my playoff pool. Now the rest of the roster is full of Canucks/Penguins/Rangers. I'll be lucky to escape the first round with anyone left, hahaha.

Makes me upset that Keith only got 5, and all non playoff games. The elbow to the head was more of a direct intent to injure. I understand Torres is a repeat offender and has a history, but the NHL is essentially saying you get 2 free passes to knock stars out of the game before we lower the ban hammer on you.

The hit wasn't that bad, no where near 25 games. The two-tier suspension system is just pathetic.

Congratulations Torres, your hit is considered worse than stalking a player around the ice, sucker punching him from behind, and driving him face first into the ice.
It is worse than a deliberate two-handed chop to the head of an opponent (well, this suspension was a full year, but no team signed McSorely)

It is worse than a huge bodycheck/boarding while a player is celebrating a goal (way after the play ended).

Apparently Shanny wanted to go heavy with the banhammer, but the owners/GMs made him tone it down.
Maybe they're giving him free reign again?

P.S. that hit wasn't late. It was less than a second after Hossa lost the puck, he spun into the hit.
Yeah, Torres has a reputation, but that hit was foreseeable.

He's just got those many games to be an example.
The playoffs were getting too rough, then you get a scrub with a history hitting a star. Major suspension = less incidents later.
