your right, they will say he dives, just like Kesler dived when he and richards got tangled up at the end of the game around the Kings blue line. if someone shoved a stick in my neck, my first reaction would be to get out of the way... CBC thought it was an ingenius play by Richards.

You called the fact that he'd have a worse year, which I scoffed at. Plus all the diving and embellishment crap.

what was bad about kesler last night? maybe the fact he forgot they were playing hockey, and continued with his crap antics. His had snapped back more times then the entire mosh pit at a metallica concert.

I love kesler when he's on his game, he can be such a talented hockey player, and a real pleasure to watch. The problem is, its hard to use those skills when you're flailing around, and laying on the ice. His diving is going to hurt the whole team, because they just simply won't get calls.

The reffing was BRUTAL last night, on both sides too, there were some LAME calls. The charging calls against the nucks were garbage. Kesler interfering with Quick and not getting called was garbage. There was a slashing call against LA because it broke Keslers stick (the blade fell off, after BARELY being touched by the LA player, i forget who it was) another garbage call. There was a crap holding call against Salo that they stopped calling months ago in the regular season, more garbage.

I hate the fact that we've been waiting for SO long to watch some good hockey, and that trash is what we get treated to in game 1.

Kesler, stop being a bitch, refs please let them play.

One good thing about yesterday was the play of Luongo, who I thought had a really solid night. Lou didn't dive either, anyone would have reacted like that.

Ok, that does sound like something I'd say (Especially because it is right).

I saw the dive (it was funny, but like you said, it will make the refs side with the other team on questionable calls).

As for the stick breaking, that's a given. It is a risk you take when you slash down on a stick. It is a penalty (and you won't hear me defend the Nucks very often). Smarter hockey players should always lift up and not slash down.

The Bitz hit was extremely dirty, and beetbout, you shouldn't be allowed to lace up skates if you think otherwise. It is disgusting that you wish harm on another player like that.
I despise Todd Bertuzzi, but I don't wish injury on him. I wish his suspension was never lifted, I wish he never scored a goal/assist again, but I don't wish injury on him.

Have you ever had a concussion? Do you realize what it does to you? Half the reason "fans" don't care about concussions is because they don't realize the severity of them. Seeing life through a fog, not being able to move quickly/climb stairs. Concussions ruin your life, they don't just stop you from playing hockey.

No player should come in, staring at numbers the entire distance, and go straight for the head. There is absolutely no excuse for that, especially since Bitz could've easily hit him from the shoulder and taken the puck. If Bitz just followed the boards instead of taking a straight line, he could've made a clean hit.

agreed, Bitz hit was dirty, should be suspended. what I can't believe is that Weber didnt get suspended. Clear intent to injure, it was almost Bertuzzi-esque

The issue that I have with the stick breaking "rule" is that these sticks explode at the slightest contact sometimes. Thus I feel it should be a discretionary call, and to me, in a playoff game, if a stick breaks with that light of contact, let it go, but I do understand why it was called, just don't agree with it.
