A couple of questions: It's my first full season here and was wondering: How much energy do you want your players to have for the playoffs? My first two lines are down to around 78-79 and I've been losing games against teams I beat earlier in the season. Am I getting a performance hit from the energy and would I be better off starting fresh players with slightly lower overall ratings and low chemistry instead? Or should I stick with the tired buy highly rated and chemistry players?

Also, I've noticed chemistry degrades without playing time but haven't noticed if the same holds true with experience. do your players keep the experience they earn or does that degrade as well?

any advice would be appreciated.

as to who you should play i will leave that to someone else, but let me answer the others.

Yes your energy is hurting you. I have played low all season long, only switching to normal for a cup national cup games. I'm of the belief you should never play high during regular season and you should play low as much as you can. By contrast, my lowest energy starter is currently at 95.

BUT, its your first season, in a league where you don't have to worry about getting relegated, so don't worry and take it as a lesson learned

Playoffs... i work it so my players have no less than 90!

The key is this...

1) NEVER play high importance during the regular season, tournaments or friendly matches
2) ONLY play normal during those games mentioned above IF it's a must-win game.
3) ALWAYS play low importance when possible!

Oh, and play the tired guys. They may be tired but their chem and experience is a huge boost.

Or... play a blend of the 2.

this is only what I would do, so take it for what its worth but I am thinking long term here. If you plug in some high energy guys it probably will help. However, thinking long term, I would play low importance from here on out, even in the playoffs and l;eave your starters in, even with low energy. Why? because the chemistry and experience they gain will be more valuable long term than winning a few extra games.

thanks for the advice. Will play on low a lot more often next season. Figured that out midseason after a too many normal and high games.

Just wondering nsblue and trueblue, are the high energy ratings your guys still have due only to playing on low or do you rest them during the season as well?

Also, this is probably on here somewhere but does anyone know exactly how much energy you lose for high, normal, and low?

Its mostly from playing low. I do rest my regulars for friendlies sometimes but thats it.

One more quick question: the guide seems to indicate that tech. is more important than passing to goalies. Is this true, or am I mistaken?

I think it is and always train it higher than passing, let me re-read the section in the guide though
