Goalies came up short and we lost by a single goal today. Bit disappointed so far: Our U21 is the team with the most potential this season, and they're not doing so well... Hopefully we can climb this back up in the 2nd half of the qualifiers. We're still above the cutoff. I'll take that as a win.
Qualification game tomorrow against Lithuania. We have the upper hand on goals for, so if we win, we move on.
We're putting it all out on the table. They edged us by 1 goal last time but we were away. Home advantage should help us push through.
It's odd because our U21 is actually the strongest team out (relatively speaking) out of the 3 NT in Canada this season, but I guess we were just matched against some strong opponents this time around!

Despite a couple of lineup glitches, we managed to win our first game. I think we have a great chance to move on after this round.
At 4 and 1, looking pretty good to move on to the next round.
Made it to the quarter finals (last 8) where we lost to Ukraine 30-24. This should move us up in the overall world rankings!!

Looking good for us to make it through the qualifying round. A 34-20 victory over Italy today puts us in second place ahead of them, with a game in hand. That game is against Spain who has forfeited all of their games so far. After Spain, we will be half way through the round having played every team once so far.
Won our first match against China. We should be able to make it into the next round like last season.
At the half way point of the qualifying round, we have played all four of the other teams have a record of 3-1, and are sitting in second place.
Season 26
Once again, the U21 squad is poised to make it through the qualifying round into the final round. The objective then will be to make it to the playoff round.

Canada U21 finished second in their group, and will move into the finals where last year we were eliminated on goal differential. A little better result would put us into the playoff round.
Season 26
I believe tomorrow is our last chance to win one game as we did last season, unless the Czechs or Russians are so far ahead they play on low to save energy for the playoffs!!

Superior shooting led us to a 28-26 win over a stronger team from the United Kingdom! We are now 1-1 in the WC championship qualifying round.
