So the Wolves beat the Razorbacks 10-4 today? How the heck does that happen to the undefeated R-Backs? I know I outshot him 42-11, that might have something to do with it...and I'll take it.

Yeah, when I saw the 5 skaters were from the same team on the all-star list, i assumed it was a no-name.... then I looked at the game recap and was like, wow, impressive game!

btw, congrats to Razorthugs for being the highest ranked team in the national cup draw. They are the first non-I.1 team, at seed 9.
Well, everyone is ordered by their rating. Then they are splits into groups of 64, top 64 draw a random opponent from the bottom 64, etc.
Yeah, the NC seeding is by order of Team Rating. I'm shocked at the fact that I'm 13th -- but winning a lot in League III has padded my Rating so I had a head start.
That got me interested to see how the div 2 leagues compare at this point. Here are the avg OTR for each of them

Keep banging out the friendly match wins against solid foreign teams and all 4 of those will go up.

Anybody pull any decent players? I pulled one long term prospect, decent build, Overall 197 but it will take some time...maybe even next season before I can use him.

Three busts from the Academy. The *best* was an OR 169 Goalie.
Meh. This is the "makeup" pull for two weeks ago when I pulled two future starting Centers, and the pull before that when I got a Defenseman who's already starting for me.
Meh. This is the "makeup" pull for two weeks ago when I pulled two future starting Centers, and the pull before that when I got a Defenseman who's already starting for me.
Youth pulls are becoming a mystery to me...the better my facilities get, the worse my players are...I'm sure I'll still be looking forward to my next youngins but I'm not holding my breath.
There's such a wide range of the skill of the youths pulled, it's hard to see just how effective each level of the Academy improves your chances.
And because of the very small sample size -- for most of us, 2-3 juniors every two real-life weeks -- luck still seems to play the largest role.
I dream of a hockey sim like this which can be set to focus on scouting more of a certain type of player -- give me a higher chance to tryout wings if I'm short on wingers, for example.
