They definitely could regroup the third division into only 2 leagues considering III.3 is essentially 75% bot. but I guess there has to be a certain number of lower levels to supply the higher ones.

Aging players are not bad to have around at that stage. Your facilities and ressources don't allow you to maximize training for the younger guys, so you may as well slim the roster down to bare minimum and focus your money on upgrading your arena, then facilities, so you can bring in more money to keep upgrading by winning and going to a higher league to bring in more sponsor money

Ah fair, I've tried to go with quality youth, as I always would, I'm trying to challenge myself and keep a majority Canadian team, kind of a pride thing I guess.

I guess the other thing that I've noticed is that the teams in this league that have been for a while are so much better than the rest, whereas when I had my previous incarnation of the TwigStarz 5-6 years ago there was more balance, not too many of the 1000+ OR players.

To be fair, a team like the Nordiques has no business being in division III, they are better than half the teams in div II. But yeah, it does seem a lot easier these days to build a high talent team from ageing players on the market, but I am similar to Twig where I enjoy keeping mostly Canadians, and try to get quality players rather than 1-stat wonders.

We are at the halfway mark, and I don't think there are too many surprises in the standing. Nordiques are on top as expected, then a close group of 4, then another close group of 4-5, then a major drop off to the newer teams. Could be a fight for that final playoff spot, depending on what teams make roster improvements.

Some upsets could make this very interesting though
