Canada threads are more active than the USA ones. They are always happy to see some USA players drop by
Yeah... it's the first time I've ever dumped more than 30-40 bucks into this game, and it'll likely be the last time I ever pay PPM anything.
(which is just as well since literally EVERY time I sent them money, i'd have to send an email to get them to actually award the credits - the first time I made a purchase I was seriously concerned I'd been scammed).

hahaha I might have to switch my default forum language to Canadian then. ^_^
The forum rules forbit to name it so I need to totally encrypt it: Ho**y Ar**a
We're being invaded by fleeing Americans on land and online!

HAHAHA. I was going to comment in my last post to Tesco about how funny it is that the Canadians are so welcoming on these forums, because they don't want us to defect in person haha.
I don't blame you guys either... most Americans suck.
You guys should build a wall.![8-D 8-D](https://appspowerplaymanager.vshcdn.net/images/ppm/smiles/new/laughing.png)

In other news... I've finally gotten the houses of my three "non-main" teams in order.
My Hockey, Soccer, and Basketball teams have been hemorrhaging money the past couple of seasons... largely driven by poorly trained and excessive amounts of players and staff.
I've finally gotten back to the point where I'm not getting charged fees for being over the player cap, and I've been able to start building infrastructure again.
It was make or break there for a bit... i was seriously considering dropping all three teams, but I decided that as long as I keep coming back for handball, i might as well just throw some time into the other games as well. Looks like I'll be around for a little while longer lol.
Besides... I have to see my Handball team become a dynasty. It'd be a crime not to see all that careful planning and time investment pay off.

Their financial model is very simple: they realized a year or two ago that this game doesn't have any future and gave up on it, they stopped any type of development. Now they are just trying to milk a few extra bucks from the remaining users before the whole thing completely goes down.
I checked the Canadian forums and didn't find many posts from this or even last year. The only forum that is somewhat alive, is the suggestions forum, which is ironic, since non of the suggestions were ever implemented by PPM team.
honestly... I feel like the amount of money they've charged for these games has ALWAYS been excessive.
Considering that the only notable operational costs associated with this site (servers) are likely housed in the Czech Republic (where currency exchange / cost of living makes such operations likely rather cheap), they probably only pay a few hundred U.S. dollars / euros a month to keep their money scheme rolling.
Plus... I feel like if they actually shut the sight down, wouldn't they be responsible for refunding a dollar amount for unused credits? I haven't read the user agreement that we've all signed our lives away on, but I can imagine there would be some sort of legal recourse on the part of the consumer (imagine buying 150$ worth of credits and then having them shut the game down a day later).
If they would be responsible in that way, that presents a very real "cost" to shutting down the site. I'd imagine they'll give plenty of warning/notice and a redemption option before they do that.

League forums have some activity but no relevancy to outsiders really. But, we welcome you. Feel free to talk about you USA I.1 problems

hahaha for reeeeal. Most of the times I come on the forums and post something and after a few posts over several months I look back at the page, and it's basically just me talking to myself lol.
It's actually nice to have the interaction for a change.

Jeeeze. I just realized that Validus has won Team of the Week in instant challenges a cumulative 199 times (and it looks like he'll win again in 2 more sports this week).
Without even considering the credits he's won from getting 2nd and 3rd place finishes, he's already won almost 20,000 credits from doing this.
I'd love to know his secret. Because even when I win nearly every single game, I don't come close to his point totals...
