Well the first season is up for grabs, who will emerge victorious? Good luck guys and let's have some fun!
It won't be me. My players are crap, at least compared to my beta team (whoa! and to your team as well), my two starting staff members are both physiotherapists, and my first youth pull is a single star. Also, I have no idea how to strategize for this game.
I'm thinking I'll shoot for not relegation this time around.

None of these players will be good in the long run. I'm going to run my best guys into the ground and concentrate on infrastructure and try to work out training/practice strategies. I have some ideas for formations, but I probably won't use any of them until next season.
Not necessarily, both my soccer and hockey teams still have one original player on the roster. My soccer player was the starting goalie for 9 seasons, he's been the back-up most of this season and will finally get sold at the end of the season or beginning of next. My hockey player is my first line center, so he's not going anywhere for a while yet.
So, if you get lucky and have a player with good qualities, you just might keep him for 10 or more seasons.

I have one player i think he will be around for a few seasons ... but i doubt he will for 10 seasons as you suggested.
Yeah sure there may be a few holdouts but the vast majority are crap and you will slowly build up your team through acquisitions and SA pulls. But player development will be poor until your staff/facilities improve enough to develop players rapidly.
Yeah, it's the experience that keeps them playing even while the new kids may train better.
Sadly, my handball team doesn't have anyone with the right combination of youth and good qualities to be able to stick around for a long time - the best I can probably do is get 5 or so seasons out of one of my wings, depending on how bad my scouts are lying to me about him

i bet your scouts are lying a LOT. Im not even sure if it is safe to buy players now as they may come out very different than we expected.
I think there's even less of a chance of our original players sticking around for a long time in handball because they're all 18 and older. My last original hockey player is on the free agent market right now, but he was 15 when I got my team. For handball, I rather expect that even my "stud" 18yo wing will be eclipsed by younger guys within 5 or so seasons, just because they'll develop a lot faster since they're three years younger.
there are some 18yo with 6 CL. So even though they are old, they could still have a very solid short career. It would take some time for someone to get a good 15to 6/6, train for a few seasons before he would be better than this 18yo 6/6 CL
