Awesome! It should be a better team next season than this one, too.
Hello everyone. I finally won the II.1 championship on my third try, so I think I get to finally join you guys in the top division! I am very excited, even though i will probably get my butt kicked
Welcome! This was my second season in I.1, but first in a few seasons. And I lost most of the games. But I might be staying up, depends on how the rest of the RR goes. Congrats on making it up!
Congrats to the pballas!
I suppose I probably lost the finals when I failed to get one more goal in my last game against the Doppelgangers to take home advantage for the entirety of the playoffs.

Pballas congrats winning the I.1 and the Cup this season!
I have a question: what would it take to organize a World Cup in the USA and why haven't we done it before? It seems like we have never even applied to organize the championship, why?

At the very least, you need to create a good tournament logo, a good mascot, and a presentation. You also have to choose 4 arenas from the U.S. to host the tournament. It's a bit harder in handball than in hockey since handball has only one tournament instead of three for each level. It also helps if you can put together some sort of website.
You can see what sort of bids you would compete against and which bids have been good enough to win by going to the World Championships under the international tab and then going to the bids tab.
If you win, the 1-4 organizing managers get a reward of credits.
I personally haven't bothered for the national teams I've managed more than once because I'm bad at art and not experienced in creating websites, so I would have to rely on someone else to do most of the work for me.
If you want to give it a try, you'll definitely have the opportunity and might be able to find people willing to help (though it might be harder now that activity on the website is continuously declining).

Ok, I see that there is some extra work with the logo and mascot, but the presentation shouldn't be that hard. I just looked at Denmark's bid and it isn't anything special.
How does picking the arenas work? You need to find willing managers to do so or you can pick any stadium, even without their agreement? And then if you do, does that mean your team cannot play in the arena that day?

The main difficulty is finding someone that can create a good logo and mascot. Listing the artist as one of the organizing members so the artist gets the reward can help with recruiting someone if you can't put something decent together yourself.
You just pick any 4 arenas from the United States (people generally pick the most complete arenas, but it technically doesn't matter). You don't need to ask the managers since it doesn't really affect them in any way (they can still play in the arenas on the same day).

is there a sweet spot of sorts for sports academy? I have level 12 right now, and still seems like a very rare occurrence that I get a guy above 3 stars in any potential. Just had a pull with all 1-1 1/2 guys :/
I've had top level sports academy with 200 OR staff for many seasons now in both hockey and handball. You just get crap most of the time.
The level pretty much only affects their starting attributes (higher OR). The rest is all super random.

I'm in the exact same position. I largely purchased my US players that are remotely any good.
Well it's going to be a tight one to see if I can stay up in my relegation match. If not, I'll try to stay down two seasons. We'll see!
