Thanks
The Awards part, and the Star Points part are my own doing. The Star Pts part is loosely based on an NHL calculation done a few seasons back that gave points to different types of goals, etc to find out the true value of a player on a team. I think it was called the "clutch calculation" or something like that.
What i've done is created a math equation and awarded a certain point level to each aspect of a players game (goals, assists, ppg, ppa, shg, gwg, otg, PIMs, etc etc) and then split that by the # of games they have played. I'll be changing it next season to be based on minutes, instead of games to give each player a truly fair (60 min equiv. game time) value.

the first impression I have had and I have even more after I read ur last post is that u r huge hockey fan, and once again, I like it

Will u start next season include seconds too???
I'm laughing, in fact it is positive smile as that is what I used to do a lot

Hockey... yeah, it's a central core part of my life. Our living room has a wall dedicated to hockey. Our car is hockey'd out, it's on my phone, computer, laptop, and most days in the Xbox. Oh, and we have tattoos. So yeah, i'm a nut!
hahaha ha!
well, I think, I'd be watching Stars a bit closer next season. I have no doubt that u know why, right?
Tell me, what do u think about him?

An ok signing from a mentor point of view, but meh, i'd rather they hadn't.
why is that so?
Too old??
Personal pt of view or something else???

Guys, one guy can make a difference ((=
Bought player few weeks ago, he played his first game and str8 away hat-trick
since than, he always get at least a couple of points..
..six games, five times ALL STAR,..
Scott Robinson collects the puck in his defensive zone. On a great individual effort he skates through on the left side to get right in front of István Dankó, he dekes and scores.

I'm kind of on the fence with it.
The Stars a few years ago refused to re-sign Mike Modano, the face of the franchise, citing that they wanted to move to a younger, faster team.
So signing Jagr and Whitney, they kind of go against that... and in the process really piss off old-school Stars fans.
Saying that, I think that signing these 2 guys is probably what the Stars need. They have a fantastic group of young players so need the veteran leadership these guys will bring. Adding a prime player like Parise or Bobby Ryan would be great, but would mean one of our great prospects missing out on a spot long-term.
Whitney is a killer Powerplay guy, and will help fix the Stars PP which has been terrible for 3 seasons. So between him and Jagr, they do both add firepower while mentoring the kids.
Whitney's 9mil contract looks bad, but over $5mil of that is bonuses, so really it's not so bad. I'm not sure I agree that Jagr is worth $4.5mil though... but would LOVE to be proven wrong.

Side topic of hockey, but I'm excited.... After 186 days I have finally got a stadium custodian as a staff member... Can't believe how long that took
Nice I tend to buy my staff these days, much easier way of getting the guys i want.
Glad to read that as I was the one who was interested to have a hockey talk forum..
BF, make sure u get the second position as the first one is surely occupied by TB, I reckon

As u saying, Whitney helps w/PP and Jagr, I believe will help youngsters cool down and play its game, same as he did help the Flyers.. Jagr still has gr8 sense of humor, he loves play games and can permanently brings extra to kids.. and if that will works, then I bet its worth the money, as it would means that it wouldnt stop at the end of the following season.. I wish, he will prove it..
