I'm looking to assemble a group of people together to share information with each other to study the way things work within this game.
Here's a rough list of what we would do:
- theorize about the numerical patterns within the game
- exchange information from our informal studies of those theories
- organize tournaments amongst ourselves (and maybe beyond)
- posts comments in the forum with our findings
It seems some ground rules will also be necessary, including:
- if you are in the same league as someone who is already a member, they can say whether or not you can join
Any thoughts?

I wouldn't be opposed to a general chat. Not sure I want to expose my internal builds. No harm in talking about most everything else.
Just looking to get people more involved, gets pretty boring with everyone not joining some kind of conversation.
Reply to his post and he'll read you're interested. He's still active on PPM.
This is a shot in the dark, but I would not be hesitant to create a think tank, just to start some intelligent conversation. You still interested?
Sounds like a good idea. It could be especially helpful for basketball but good for any sport.
What are everyone's thoughts on revenue sharing or a sponsor cap/floor? It would be a means to ensure being last in I.1 is better financially than 1st in II.X...
There should be some advantage to finishing last, just like in real hockey. First draft place, additional money, something to keep the lower teams advancing to make it a much more competitive league. Everyone is tired of the same people winning the same things year after year. I agree, some sort of advantage should be given to the lower teams, which would keep them interested in the season.
You can not help the last place in I.1 more the the II.x first place team because they are going to replace that team the next season. I think it would be better to give the lower teams higher draft picks during the season if they are an active. Also if a team is inactive they don't draft.
I like this idea. I know that there was some concern that this would devalue the investment teams have put into the sports academy, but I think that getting an A player with 400 OR instead of 200 OR sufficiently addresses this concern.
