I currently have 4, but really only because #3 and 4 are indistinguishable from each other and I haven't decided who to sell yet.
See, I have three too, but if the starter gets hurt, there's not guarantees the 2nd and 3rd stringers will help at all.
I have 4. My 3rd & 4th are really prospects that I'm building to either sell or for the future, just depends on how fast they train & if their CL doesn't drop to fast.
I have 3 Goaltenders and my plan is to stay at 3 goaltenders. I've been fortunite that I have had no major injuries to my goaltenders as of yet.
I have 4. My top 2 are higher age and established. My 3rd and 4th goalies are 15 and 16 and being trained as their replacements.
i keep 3 goalies. i play my 2nd and 3rd alternately in friendlies to give experience. i had it happen once that due to injuries i was actually using a defenseman as my back up. right now they are all pretty close to each other...until i get a good prospect. then the lowest CL goes on the market.
I currently have 5.
1 established starter who will be starting at least 2 more seasons after this.
1 solid backup almost as good without the exp but old and going to market this year.
1 prospect backup who's ready to play if needed.
1 prospect on market.
1 prospect perhaps for market or termination (new)

4, 2 aging vets/starters, 1 from my academey who looks like he can take over once he gets the exp/chemistry and one from the market who also looks promising. Both are fighting for the starting jobs now as my old starters are declining.
The vets and the youth are about = in the "rating" for the goalies, but they don't have the experience/chemistry

That's a tough situation to figure. Do you play the experienced guy with chemistry or work the younger future guy to get him the experience and chemistry.
i agree. been trying to play my "future" starter in games i think i should win to try and build him up
