LOL... I won on a twist. Interestingly enough, when my starting pivot got a red card 6:29 into the game, my 4th best back replaced him and ended up scoring 8 goals in 9 shots.
Yay for red cards eh?

happened to me too a few days ago. and the player that replaced was not even ready to play (bad FiP)
and was not a pivot (very low aggression)

you know i wonder now how much aggression really matters at the end of the day. because the guy that subbed in is 20 OR higher, and better than my starting pivot in everything except AGR (where he's 30% worse than my starting pivot), and he played better in the role than my regular guy ever does.
I'm starting to think that maybe I should just play the best guy lol.

FiP may also affect it. On the National match today as i didnt face a good team i played a really bad team. One player had 2 minutes and red card. he has very low aggression, but also very low FiP. He is far from ready to play any match.
So it could be that the percentage of FiP/Agr affects it or FiP itself is needed as well to prevent 2 minutes/red cards.

Knowing my luck I will get the Tossers this round. But it is offset with the knowledge if I win in Round 4 I still get home court advantage for the final 16 before I move over to the other side.
Does home court advantage really mean much in the national cup? I know the ticket sales are split like friendlies. So at the very least, you'd want the game to be played at an arena with a large capacity. But are there actually home court advantages like in the regular season?
P.S. I feel like bad luck could bring you much worse matchups than the tossers. There's some darn good teams in that pool 2. Cunning Procrastinators for instance has wicked goaltending and a team rating of 27 overall.
I have a feeling there will be upsets this round-- I think 2 or 3 of the top 10 will go down
And the #1 seed has fallen. Congrats to the Cunning Procrastinators - I couldn't score on you AT ALL.
Honestly, it's to the point where the benefit/reward for spending as much energy as it would've taken to take down Mojo Jojo wasn't worth it.
I'd have to fry my players and possibly mortgage my league play for the chance at moving on to next week (when I'd face another sickeningly good team). No thanks. I decided that if I could beat him on LOW-LOW, i'd take it, but that's as much as I was willing to do.
Funny too, because the first half it was closer than I expected it would be. He had to burn more energy to pull it out in the 2nd half.
