Apparently... playing on very high doesnt make too much of a difference.
I have been reading on the CDN forums that it really has not made too much a difference on the intensity.
That was my best NC to date in every sport. 3rd place finish. 
Is that just this sport or all sports?
My personal experience is that is hasn't seemed to help too much in basketball. Although that may be a fatigue/energy factor as well.
sooo... apparently they changed the format of the national cup this season? The teams that play in the "first round" (or the first week) seem to be randomly determined?
I mean, I don't mind... it's just one more game in my finished arena that I didn't expect. Hopefully I can get a few million dollars out of it.
I did have a mini-panic attack though... as I have essentially my entire team in camp right now. Luckily they're done in 2 days (literally right in time for the National Cup match).

Nothing has changed. Match ups are always randomly drawn.
i think it is because there were more teams before, the first round was "always" bye. and i think the top teams would alwys give a bye instead of "random teams among group 1.
oooooh gotcha. Yeah... I didn't think about the fact that the pool of teams had gotten smaller and that there wasn't a need for the bye week anymore.
Yeah i was really worried because at 4:02 I realized I forgot to change intensity. I thought i was gonna lose!
