You expect to win every game? Also: expected draw result win is okay but expect win result draw is bad? I think your view is skewed and expectations too high.

Fact is the ratio of gols per shots is too unstable in our present sim, thus the unhappiness of our fellow managers. My question is: would it be possible to decrease it's variace by - let's say - a half as much as it is today?

Engine is good as it is, we just don't know exactly how it works. More info and a better guide would be great.

when i saw that when you expected to loose (wow there is one!) and managed to draw it's ok, and when you expected to win and you "only" draw it's bad it was enough. and by your expectations somebody would think you are by far best team in your league...

"Strange" result obviously can't have a unique definition. Let's use this: "The result of a match is strange if one of the two teams is clearly stronger than the other and, using good formation and tactics, doesn't win".

Strange matches MUST happen! Without them (0%) it would be useless to play the matches. It would be enough to give 3 points to the stronger team.

But it is evident there are too many strange matches. By far, this season I had 40% strange matches. Consider that 50% would mean that matches are totally random (more or less selecting a totally random result).

No, I expect to win most games I deserve.
If I'm clearly stronger and with good formation and tactics I expect to win more than 60% of these matches.

Simply because the difference slighter. Anyway, it doesn't matter the expected result. The importance is the result is different from the expected.

In fact I'm 4th in strenght in my league. But again, it doesn't matter. Let's only look at those matches. For example, in this match soccer.powerplaymanager.c... my opponent is stronger than me, but his extremely bad formation (plus the 1° half low) let me be the one who should have won, in a not-strange match.

And why's that? Just because you have better ratings? (don't forget that ratings are just to let you know if player's position are OK, if players' training is OK)
I think that in this game you will loose at least 25% from games played because you are using bad tactics. With only 2 normal defenders, that are retaining possession and passing, you will have a decreased defensive possession (chances of get a goal).

Ohh... Please take a look at some real life match reports as well. It seems that the team with better players and more possession doesn't always win which is very strange, isn't it?
