Wow man, that stinks! Are you quitting all four sports, or just hockey?
Sorry to see you go.... Good luck in your future endeavors!
yeah, unfortunately it's what happens when the developers essentially abandon a project and just let it run in autopilot without releasing anything new or different... people run out of things to do, get bored, and the logins start becoming an unjustifiable chore.
sorry to see you go mate, but i totally understand. you were one of the best among us though. good luck with everything.

Notice: at the end of this hockey season the Sticky Toads will be folding. The game has become more of a chore than fun. In the mean time i will be selling my players. Good luck, good bye.
This has been a rough season for U.S. hockey. We've lost 6 good teams: Montana Miners, Smart People, Oregon Jeepsters, Miami Revenants, Brooklyn Hornets, and it seems the Sticky Toads will follow shortly. It's especially worrisome as the U18 manager.
There will be 8 new teams in I.1 next season. Since there will be 3 dead teams remaining in I.1, all those teams will have a good chance at sticking around.
Dinamo 1983 and Sierra Stars should both be able to jump in as playoff caliber teams. They both have young rosters though and might take a few more seasons to be more competitive, barring any roster additions. Teams around the 210 team strength range might be able to sneak in with a few key additions too.
While I'll still likely be competing for 3rd next season, I think my roster's finally matured to the point that I can at least be competitive with the top teams. It's been fun to see players from my sports academy develop into some of the top players in/from the United States. I still need to see if I can improve my offense a little bit more.

For the first time ever, a forward from my sports academy is the best players from and probably soon in the United States. Forward is still an area of weakness on my team overall that I am looking to improve upon, though I tend to have bad luck finding a useful player and being around for the deadline to actually get the player. It's a bit sad that a lot of his extremely promising offensive teammates ended up being a bit disappointing in terms of CL.
Thanks! While I've been around longer than most at this point, I started 4.5 seasons late in hockey. It took 8-10 years (after not really knowing what I was doing for the first 5-10 seasons) to get the necessary facilities built, pull/draft promising players, have some of those players not be unlucky with CL, and train them until they are old enough to catch up to the top teams.
Looking back at that, when it comes to the speed of the game, basketball's season length was definitely an improvement. Financially, without looking at the specifics, building those facilities also felt like it went a bit more smoothly.

I have only been playing the game for only a little over a year. Have been wondering if I close the team and restart again from scratch if it would be better than selling off everything I have now and just rolling along. Realizing that building seats and building facilities are much more important than getting players. I don't think I have spent to much on the market but I might have spent too much on player salaries. Any input from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
