I'd like to share an idea of the whole brazilian community:

We suggest the creation of a search tool for the NT coaches and/or assistants, just like the search system we actually have on the market.

The idea is to allow the coaches (from all NT categories) individually search for players to compose the NTs.

The tool can only list players from the actual NT the coach is managing, to avoid personal benefits (ie.: search for potential foreign players).

Opinions on this one?

I'm not sure I like the idea. It depends on what player data would it search.

IRL one of very important tasks of NT coach is to find players for his national team and he doesn't have any search engine to do that. And it probably very offten happens that NT coaches, do overlook a player, that would deserve to bi in NT.

Coach can check websites like transfermarkt, for example, but he can't use them to search for all Brasilian players that have OR over 1300. He can find players that play in strong league, he can check their statistics in that league, but if he realy wants to know, how good the player is, he has to have it scouted and then probably calls him to a friendly match, to test him.

If we want to keep PPM as realistic as possible, I think a search engine that would only allow to search one league at a time, and would only find player statistcs, not his OR attributes, qualities, and so on, might be OK. But if it searched all the data, the market does, it would make one of the NT coaches tasks too easy and the only thing coach would have to be good at are in-game tactics. And I think NT coaches should have more skills, than just to know how to prepare in-game tactics.

Searching for players is almost 50% of the job the NT coachs have to do and they must be prepared to do so.. If he remove it, half of the work is done..

In PPM NTs represent communities, so it should also show the commitment of that community with the game.. it's hard to find all players? true.. but if each member of the community do his work (eg check his own transfers) it's much easier.

You forgot that IRL the NT coaches do have scouts, a whole team of researches and the leagues stats available on their confederations/associations.

Plus, they have news on TV, magazines, newspapers and access to a whole new level of information that helps them to call the better players.

So, it's very unrealistic to compare PPM with real life.

And yes, the idea is to search only for the basic information to call a player, maybe current OR and age would be enough.

My point exactly. PPM NT should build it's own database of players just like in RL. The coach should have cooperant PPM managers from his country, that act as scouts and researchers you mentioned. The coaches job is to attract as many PPM managers from his country, as possible to help him with scouting, suggesting players that they spot, but the NT coach doesn't have them in the database yet and so on.

But you would like to replace the scouts and researchers you mentioned with a search engine? If you gave the NT coach a search engine, he could do it all by himself, but I don't think thats the point of having national teams in PPM. The NT doesn't belong to the NT coach, but to the countries community, so countries community should be involved with building the national team, not just the coach and his assistant.

Being NT coach is much more than just selecting best players, and adjusting team tactics, good communication with his community and abilities to know how to involve other managers to help building NT are skills that he should also possess.

I'm against search engine that finds players based on OR. Because this way it would be realy too easy. Maybe it would be OK, to have a search engine where you could enter search like: Search all Brasilian players that played in Slovenia I.1 this season, and it would return their statistics (number of matches, minutes, goals scored, etc.). To compensate those TV and magazines you mentioned. But news on TV don't say anything about players OR, do they?

if i noticed well, are all players' age change at the same time, at the beginning of a new season?

if it's so, that kind of sucks, to be honest. because of unrealism and because of the fact that youngsters that come to the club right before the new season turn 16 much faster than the ones who come at the club earlier in the season.

every player should have his own personalized birthday in a given day of the season, in my opinion..

I think it would turn the youth NT teams a mess with players being removed from the team every week due to become overaged.

If player is 16 at the start of the new season, he could for U17play till the end of season no matter if he turns 18 two weeks later. i don't se problem there!

The "late season" youth players that turn 16 yo. quickly are a kind of problem of the game right now.

You're right about that, they have a disavantage on training because their age.

It sure would make much more sense if players had birthdays, but I doubt it will ever happen. I think players having birthdays is so obviuos, that developers of the game didn't just forget about them. They must have had a good reason not to implement them. Maybe it would mean much more calculations, that would make huge load of the server, or some other good reason.

As for getting a good player at the end of a season, you can look at it from different perspective. Wouldn't it suck even more, if you didn't get him at all?

It happened to me that, I didn't get any useful players until (i think it was) two weeks before the end of the season. And not only that, with the new season his CL dropped. So he had CL 6/6 for just two weeks. This sucked double times. But I was still happier, than I would be, if I didn't get any player at all. That would suck triple times. It was just bad luck for me that season, and the next season I got quite lucky with my new youngsters, but someone else probably wasn't.

The point is as long as all managers have same chance of having bad luck with their youngsters, the system seems fair. And I don't see how players having birthdays would change that.

I did, but with RL players not imaginary like in PPM. And there is also stuff in PPM that I'm also unhappy with.

It's true, the way players age/CL is being changed now, could have been done better when the game was under development. But I don't believe it can be changed now, so why bother with something, that won't happen? I just live with it.

Another solution to the problem, that perhaps might be doable, would be to base OR of new youngsters on the day of the season, so players that came from the academy later in the season, would automatically have higher OR, to compensate their loss of training.
