If you're point is the best teams will be too good for average team to compete against them, I got it. But the system allows average teams to get into same level as top teams. It's just about good management.

By that time the top teams will be in a different universe. No average team working their way up will be able to sniff the top of the league.

Of course it allows average teams to get to that level. That's not the problem. The problem is, while the average team may do well in their league and get promoted, the better teams in the better leagues, who also get to play in the CWC etc are getting such a bigger OTR boost, that by the time the new seasons come round, their getting further and further ahead. In fact things like the CWC, CL etc that only winners of the big leagues get into (or NC tournys) are giving those teams an even bigger OTR boost.

As i said, the system allows teams to "get to" that level, but they will NEVER be able to compete with those current top teams, because those current teams will always get the larger OTR, larger sponsorship offers, and as a result, bigger and faster upgrades to their teams.

What comes to CL/CWC bonuses, I agree they should be smaller. What comes NC, I can't see that teams with NT players get a clear advantage. There maybe a small training bonus but even in the long run it's quite minimal and without it National teams would be just joke. Why to help national team if you can't get any sort of advantage?

At some point you can't get better OTR, better players, better facilities or bigger arena anymore. Below that point there'll always be room for improving your team.

That's enough for me. I'll now go and plan how I'll get my team in to the same level as the very best teams in PPM...

Errr your OTR is 363.. you're already in the group of which i speak! I think that's part of why you don't fully grasp where we're coming from... you don't experience the game from our position.

But that's cool. I'll try and manage to compete with the best teams... with my whopping $6mil a week sponsor money i'm sure i'll do great stuff against teams with double that and the ability to grow faster. Afterall, i'm sure with great management, some great luck and maybe the top guys teams all falling apart, i might actually get to be able to compete against people upwards at your teams level.

This entire OTR thing is a joke. Spend a season in our position and i almost guarantee you'd get an idea of what i mean.

What do you think that should be done for it? Other than decreasing the CL/WCW bonus.

There are a long list of things I believe they should do.

The OTR thing can be better managed with lowering the CL/WCW bonus for a start, and also the player bonus for NT players. While there are disadvantages to managers not from NT locations, I will always have issue with NT bonuses.

I believe the main issue is the sponsorship system. There are 2 main points I have here. The first... I discovered that you can get more sponsorship by staying in lower leagues. This should not be the case, or else why bother pushing for promotion?

Second... because of the OTR issue, and big teams simply having much higher OTR than the average person, their sponsorship dollars are therefore a shitload more than that average person. Those sponsor dollars are easily used to upgrade the team and arena to improve that team even more, essentially pushing it so far ahead of the average user it becomes pointless trying to catch them. You can see this in action simply by looking at the big teams and their sponsor deals.

A person like me, who will make $6mil approx per week in sponsor dollars (btw, that's less than i made this season... go figure) will never EVER catch someone who earns twice that in sponsorship. You could argue this til the sky turns red, the fact is, a team earning more money from sponsors is in a better position to upgrade their team and boost their potential OTR and sponsor offer in the next season. There is absolutely NO disputing that... it's cold hard fact.

So every year the strong teams get stronger, and the average teams, who happen to be in the same league as them keep being kept down the standings, ensuring we never get those big sponsorship dollars or the high OTR.

The system, in my opinion is seriously flawed and needs a major looking at. If there is this issue now after just 3 seasons, where do you think we'll be after 5 or 10? I can tell you, this issue was raised during season 1 and it was shrugged off under the guise of "it's too early to tell". Well guess what, it's no longer too early to tell... and the facts scream out that this system has issues!

Theres no doubt that winners of leagues, cups and participants in CL/CWC should have better sponsors and thus more money, but current OTR system in cooperation with sponsorship offers isn't working (as intended i hope).

After playing 3 seasons in I.1 I have only seen the league coming tougher and tougher season after season. Actually great II division teams that haven't been in International cups are getting promoted and teams that have been playing in Champions' league are getting relegated. The competition for the title is getting bigger every season so I really don't see the issue eventhough the sponsor offers are getting bigger.

I don't remember there was an issue in beta neither.

Antsa, the sponsor offers for SOME of the medium level teams are NOT increasing, that's part of the problem. The top teams have no problem increasing OTR faster than the medium level teams. Plus some people I know grew their HR, their managers, are in higher leagues and are receiving almost exactly the same offers as the previous year which would make it seem like OTR plays the biggest role here and everything else is hardly factored in. And medium teams simply can't catch top teams in terms of OTR.

In the US there has been very little change to the top of the table, but there's really only 1-2 teams in the OTR stratosphere right now.

Ok, hopefully developers will take a look at it and make some changes if it's not working as intended.

An easy way to put a semi-fix on the OTR / Sponsor offer issue is to simply base the sponsor offers on the teams OTR AFTER the 30% end of season reduction is taken into account.

That will place all teams sponsor offers closer together than they currently are, and will in fact base those offers on the strength of the team that is starting the season, not the strength of the team that ended the previous season.

Agreed that makes good sense. And at least slows the problem until it can be studied further.

I think there is also an issue with player ages. Because everyone started so young, everyone stays for a long time so there is no player turnover unless you buy someone more expensive. People need to lose high OR players over time as well, to force them to raise or buy replacements. As it is now, any high OR players are yours for a very long time so its a no-brainer when purchasing. League should have started with more varied ages to start the renewal cycle sooner.

Yep, a free agent system would definitely help that I can't wait til PPM bring in a system that forces players to go on the market at a certain age (like HA does).
