Has anyone else generated an excel spreadsheet on this yet? I've created a rather simple win/loss per off/def comparison, albeit only 27 games entered into it, to also include a category for mixed offenses and mixed defences(not enough coffee in my house to motivate myself to break that down any further).

If anyone would like to contribute there win/loss with type of off you ran verses opposing def i will enter it into the spread sheet and happily share the results. More than happy to email it to you if you have excel. Just shoot me an email. cheers.

God i wish PPM would extend the length of time you're given to EDIT a post, this would save a lot of unneeded posts.

i requested them many times without success. 90% of the times i cant edit on time. I find the edit feature pretty useless as it is.

The beta version of the game has ended. Full version will start today and you'll get a new team with the same team and arena name than before. Everything else will be regenerated.

They're only doing 7 days of free pro pack when you start basketball? I swore when I started playing hockey and football they gave you the first 21 days free.

I thought it was supposed to be a reseeding...not a complete regeneration.

And, to top it off, it says the option to create a team is not available right now, but it will be available later.

It's a complete regeneration. The only things carrying over from Beta are your team and arena names. You get a whole new roster (300-400 OR so academy and draft luck doesn't determine your future) and you have to start building facilities from scratch again. You can't create a team because your Beta information carries over, as well as the seeding you picked from Beta.

Go to your profile, I bet your basketball team is listed, but simply inaccessible.

Just put a back-up up on the market for 1mil and someone already bit. Smh people spend so badly in the beginning

Granted, some will look expensive but will look very cheap later on as it will take a long time for the pulls to make the starting line

Yeah i could see where the editing vrs time constraints might be an issue.
I'd be happy if i had one person on board that is a seasoned PPM vet, thus doubling the results. I have the time and my program is automatic,enter one number and results are generated, no haggling.

The one thing i haven't incorporated into the calcs is the various low - very high settings. I don't feel they are that important as most players play the same level throughout a season and only resort to higher setting when applicable, which that situation is generally recognized by both players prior to a game, thereby both usually bump up the level, IE: championship match, must win situations etc...

A few thoughts:

1)

To be fair, the "backup" that you put on the market is probably good enough to be a starter on most teams. For instance... by OR, he'd be the 4th best player on my team.

The thing is, his Qs won't really matter much for the first season (since training facilities will all suck anyways), but his OR is pretty darn good at the moment. Even outside of that... all of our HR departments suck so bad, that his Qs might actually be decent for all you/I know.

Considering that players can still get injured for the same number of days as they do in other sports (up to 28 days), you might come to regret listing him at this point in time. Consider that having a guy out in hockey, handball, or soccer for 28 days sucks enough as it is... but that's only 25% of the 112 day season. 28 days missed in basketball's shorter, 70 day seasons is 40% of the season missed (or 63% of the regular season missed).

I'd personally rather have a few decent players as backups on my squad so that I can do as well as I possibly can the first year. Especially considering that SA players and draft picks probably won't make an impact until probably season THREE or FOUR.

Teams don't yet have enough money available for you to really make much of a splash selling players.

In another week or two, that same player might sell for double or triple what you're selling him for now. Because there's going to be a finite number of good OR players available for the first couple of seasons. The players that are bought/sold in the first week also can't be sold again for 50 days. Also, after teams sell 3 players, the fees start rising (in other sports, it was 10 players). This will discourage teams who are selling players now, to continue to do so.

So you'll have:
- steady demand (people will still want good players two weeks from now)
- decreasing supply of players available for several reasons (as noted above)
- increased availability of money (teams will start getting ticket revenues, weekly sponsorship moneys, and any profits from selling their own players).

Market economics suggest that those factors together will drive prices up over time.

I wouldn't sell him if I didn't have another one to fill his backup role lol. And I started in a low league which allows me to make these gambles. I'm Following the same model I did in handball and that's going great for me so far(in league III but love my infrastructure and players. Also 400 OTRwhich is as high as those in I.1). Plus it would take a season for money to start reaching large amounts like it did in handball. Finally the high rate now isn't as bad as people make it seem because they're are less players to manage in basketball than all the other sports.
