Canucks... can you maybe send a note to the devs about including an option to change units of measurement for height on all the pages that include it (ie. the player page, player overview page, lineup, etc.)?

I know that us americans are really the only ones who use U.S. units, but I've gotta be honest, looking at 200 cm for height means nothing to me. Might as well put one of the stats in Russian.

EDIT: Just noticed that the U.S. units are included on the player profiles themselves. I see no reason (since they're already in the game, calculated), that they wouldn't be used on all the other pages for U.S. managers.

Definitely make it an option, maybe even the default for Americans, but I want to be able to stick with cm.

Americans will get used to it just like anybody else has to adapt to understand those damn yards, feet, inch ...

you realize that the reason why usa has not converted to international metric system is due to cost. usa tried before. at that time thy "had" to have signs using both units. pretty much would have to replace the entire road signs and so on.

it was in 1886 and it was even in the constitution in 1895. But didnt go through

then later about 1968 they started talking again and in 1975 the convertion started but the population was resistant and sometimes acting ridiculous. Probably with comments like "200 cm for height means nothing to me"

This legislation amended the Metric Conversion Act of 1975 and designated the metric system as "the Preferred system of weights and measures for United States trade and commerce".

The Congress tried to ban the system in 1992 but failed.

In 2012 once again they tried again. there was a petition with 250,000 signatures in 2013 to change the system.

Hawaii is the first state to change it as it is mandatory to use the metric system since 2013.

Reality is ... USA is just procrastinating what is a must .... Just like most people should learn English as it is the most common used language, Americans should learn and use metric system as it is used by all but 3 countries in the world.

i mean don't get me wrong... in all my math and engineering classes, I appreciated metric for everything that it is.

I don't mind meters and km. I don't mind grams and kg. I don't even mind kpa and pa. But to me, 205 cm for height just seems odd. Perhaps I'd be more willing to switch if it were instead 2.05 meters. I don't know. 200cm is "just" outside of my comfort zone.

All of that aside... we can hold the grande debate for another time. PPM has already acknowledged the american units (in the player pages). So if the calcs are already done in the system, I really don't think it's too much to ask for a user option that allows people who do want to switch it to do so.

My reactions so far (from reading through the basketball guide and tinkering around with things):

The option to set ticket prices is amazing. the fact that you can set different ticket prices for different types of games is even more incredible. I love that change. Shame they don't have it for any of the other sports. =/

"optimum height"
I really hope that height is somewhat "chained" to qualities. If there's a penalty to having a tall guard, it would really suck to get a tall guy with guard qualities. Correspondingly, I'd hate to get a short player with great jumping and aggressiveness. I understand that this is all part of the random factor, but hopefully good players aren't wasted because of the new height characteristic.

The 2500 triple construction takes 69 days. That's pointless. There's no way that you can build a 2500 triple without "missing" a few days of media sponsorship offers. I don't understand the logic there.

I guess if you get a great media deal on day 1 or 2 of sponsorship offers (days 67 and 68), and IMMEDIATELY started construction on the 2500 triple after accepting your new sponsorship deal, you could finish in time for all of the following season's sponsorship offers. Otherwise, you're missing out.

I guess it just seems like a rather worthless option. I'd rather have them increase the cost of building it by a little and decrease the construction duration by 4-5 days than have it how it is now.

I don't have the ability to substitute in my lineup page. Is anyone else having similar problems? I'm wondering if this feature is still being worked on by the developers (it is beta after all). Hopefully they finish it up so it can actually be tested prior to full rollout.

They haven't integrated subs yet. Since it's beta, they're only releasing a few features at a time to make sure they're working as intended.

perhaps this is a bug (not sure), but has anyone else noticed that sometimes players have wacky personal fouls?

Two of the players had 7 personal fouls (1 player on each team). In real life they would've fouled out, and never gotten to 7.

Anyone else witnessed this happening in their games?

See what I posted above. It's intended at this time until they integrate subs. Without subs they're not going to make teams play with 3-4 players. I guarantee when subs are added players will foul out.

2) From what I saw with a quick investigation, it seems that qualities are partly chained with height.

I see what you're saying, but I don't understand why they didn't just leave construction times as the same fraction of the season.

For example:

100 days of construction in 112 day season = 89.285% of the season

For a 70 game season, the construction duration of the same percent would be 62.5 days. Round it up to 63 days, and that's exactly where it should be for it to make sense.

You could start construction on day 3, and have it done in time for your first sponsorship offer.
