Ola from rainy Ireland!!
As the only European in the first created tourney I plan on kicking some ass!!
After that, I plan on winning games...
Anyways, I'm keen to experiment with whatever tactics you guys would like me to play against your team - Just shout out in here and I will set my team up accordingly!

Only non-CAN/USA in either tourney! I had to let you in seeing as it was you who gave me reasons to run them after my plan of gaining OTR and ticket revenue from them was squashed
Umm I set my game to play vl and vl and set it up in the planning under Tournament match tatics to play that.... It did not. Is the credit Tournaments under Friendly then ??????
Should be under tourney. What did it say you played? It doesn't really matter mind you since the game engine sees everything as "VVL" in credit tournies.
yes I do. I also verified that I did not have it set in planning. Everything was not touched except for the Tournament Planning which was set to a VL-VL. So perhaps it defaulted to the settings of my last league game ??
Mine worked fine. Set it to friendlies and see if that fixes it - don't touch anything else.
It worked for me, although i'm not sure i will be able to always change back to VL prior to league games although we discussed in here that it does not matter the chosen importance for the match.
I was wondering if one of those managers who have goalies 48%+ savings are willing to share their goalies attributes so maybe we can study some training ratio for goalies (the easier one to be identified)
the teams with "good" goalies are [handball_team=16069], BC Jackrabbits and [handball_team=15902]

Only one or two games so far. Wait until we have a week or two in the books to get better stats.
my goalies got the same stats from league and tournament matches. so i guess i see trend in here mine are pretty bad lol
The most interesting thing about my first match was how different the outcome of the two halves were. Neither team changed tactics, although we changed to backup goalies. In the first half I was completely dominated!!! In the first half he beat me in every stat across the board. In the second half, with the exception of steals, I beat him in every stat. From the looks of it, this game engine is going to allow for some epic comebacks!!
That was quite the game! I'm very interested the game's time-out strategy and the effectiveness of time-outs. Your first-half time-out didn't seem to halt my team's momentum, but mine in the second half worked out great. If our time-out luck was reversed, the game might have had a very different outcome.
As for the second half come-back, that might have had something to do with my formations. Once I took the lead, my second-string players got a change to play. In fact, they had more playing time in this match than my starters. This strategy is designed to save energy (mostly for league games), but I do expect it to cost me some games down the road.
Sorry for double posting.

I think "momentum" is a factor, hence the importance of time outs.
