Thanks. I had most of them queued up. I'm torn about Boothroyd who has bad C/L but has good OR and is universal.

Since my youngest player is 18, I checked my TL to find some crap I sold in the past 3 seasons. And then I remembered why I sold them!

Sorry, my SA is crap. Nothing good since Nathan Beauchemin (he's 19). Looks like I'm due for 2-3 good picks.

I checked your Tl, same conclusion. You will love the draft then!

At least the draft will make it easier to keep track of good players.

We currently have two 17 4/6 GKs and 4 mids. Man, this team is in tough shape.

This is no surprise and will only get worse over time. Senior NT is gonna be hurt big time in 2-4 seasons once Frenette and Todd will retire.

Actually, we only have 6 teams with SA lvl 15, + another one on its way. Amongst them, only 4 have lvl Trn, Reg and SA (Bow Valley is catching up, adding a 5th one soon).

Looking at the I.1 standings a few seasons back and you remember good teams that are now gone (Muffin Fighters, Loser Patrol, Dinamo). Only 3 teams who made the top-10 in season 8 are still active. Season 8 is so funny, NKDJ finished 11th and OAP were not in I.1

Yup, the landscape has really changed. But, like you said, this season is tougher than previous ones. That gives hope that we will make it out of this lull.

What I think the bigger problem is is the top clubs buying and training foreign talent. I'm guilty of it but if we all could keep 2 more guys per year and train them until 17 that'd make a big difference. The 3-3.5* players that we normally ignore or pull + fire.

I'm as guilty as others, maybe even more. E.g. I sold Roger Bellemare. But those guys were crap. Keeping them wouldn't have made them star players. Maybe slightly less crappy, in some cases... Problem is not enough top teams drawing too many crappy players (but we can't fix this I guess...).

Mikpj is SA lvl 10 and Trn lvl 12 under construction. Give him 4-5 seasons and we'll have a top drawer in Canada

Draft should help. We can easily find A+ guys and try and keep them in-house.

Is this totally random, or avg. league OTR, avg. SA lvl or other variables are used to calculate how players are generated? I guess there is something so that I.1 gets better player than II.x. But I also assume I.1 in Slovakia will get better players than I.1 here or Ireland, Saudi Arabia and others...?

Players are generated with the same Q frequency as everyone has. When you draft them they arrive with an OR based on your SA level.

I pulled a 400 OR 3* 15yo just because of this convo. I'll scout and fire likely but hopefully a decent team picks him up for training purposes.

I've put Ethan Bourgeois on the market. He's a 423 OR CB, U and 6/6. Keep track of him if you think he might be needed in 2 seasons.
