so gaps can easily be covered, though if engine would be totally fine, those players who need to cover those gaps should be wasted after some time... = play a lot worse

I agree, and they won possession in every part of the field except the middle, and still the difference is not big, no team wins with no central midfields, notice they had only two players on the centre. This tactic would never win a match in real file...

Players move, yes, but if you are a coach and you say "we will play with no centers" it's natural you lose all the challanges at midfield and lose the game.
If players move, why set up a tactic? just randomly put players there and hope for the best...

but how is that a bug? that's actually quite nice tactics- concentrating attacks through centre and left side, and not putting defence on the right side, because there is no attack from opposing team.
The guy played with ONE center in defence and the opponent had two center forwards. In real life this team would lose by many goals, trust me i played high level football, immagine the space and the attack opportunities the home team would create in that game.
Also try in real life to play with 3 left back and immagine the mess in the field of 3 players playing in the same position, it would only make them give space to the ofensive...

This is not a real life game (no offense) !
In my opinion it's something like: 'get more possesion than the opponent in each sector' by arranging your players on field ! I don't think that game engine cares that you have 2-3 left back...it just gives you more possesion in that zone !
