Is this a protest to the league re-alignment?

What do you think about the idea to be advertised for the final of the WHC at least?

So for we had a notification when the national team played. The elimination of the team doesn't mean we don't care about the rest of the competition

I agree with Pro on this one. I think the problem was always there with certain paths being much easier to take to climb up, but with the new reorg happening every season, it's become much worse.

I'll cite two examples of teams that benefited from this. Please note that in no way am I accusing their managers of anything, it's just the way the game is.

This season, the Rokkers promoted to II.3. He was demoted from our league, III.2 a few seasons ago. He was then reattributed to a very weak III league and managed to promote to II.3 with only 42 overall stars. Ok, he will et destroyed in this new league. So for him, it will be an awful season. In our league, and I'm sure in a few of the other low digit III leagues, we have a lot of teams who would actually have been right in the average of league II.3, giving those guys a better opposition and for us, a good challenge.


Another example is Quebec Armada. Erikku got his team destroyed by an angry roommate. He demoted as he saw that he could not compete in our league. With the reorg, he's now in III.10. His team is third in overall stars and so he has a very good chance of promoting to II next season.

Let's look at III.2 now. We have a team with 113 strength, a couple near the 100 mark, a total of 12 above 75 (Quebec Armada above has 77 now), and a team a few teams below 40, many that were reassigned to us by the automatic reorg.

The reorgs based on OTR are failing. My team, for example, is 55th in strength in Canada, but 114th in OTR. This is because, with the exception of my second second in IV.8 a long time ago, I've always been in a very competitive league. In the meantime, teams in leagues III-5+ will get the same OTR gain per game as I do but in much weaker teams. They will get higher contracts and thus a faster progression, on top of being able to easily promote to league IIs.

I agree that a reorg was necessary. Noone likes playing against nonames. But by basing it only on OTR and only for the lowest league level, it creates these situations where teams that are not ready gets promoted to leagues where they get slaughtered. All the while, teams that are strong enough are held back because they're in very competitive leagues.

To me, the reorg should be based on strength, not OTR. And it should be a complete reorg, to create real competition in each league.

Not against the principale of it, just against how it's done.

I agree with Chinook on that issue.
I never liked the idea of the III-1,2,3,4 going to II-1 and III-5,6,7,8 going to II-2 and all that jazz. The teams will stay the same in each division unless they promote/relegate, with the league III-1,2,3,4 boasting a majority of the "strong" teams.

After this season, switch the teams up. Randomize it for once...

I am for the new reorganization. What I liked about the system was that you could develop rivalries within the league system of promoting. I am happy because I am one of those teams that got to move from a very competitive div three league to one I can have a chance to make the playoffs.... Which is nice for starter teams to be able to compete.

It's good for you.But if you look at the issue objectively,you will see that it is pretty unfair...

I have 2X more experience than you. Do you think I appreciate to see a team like you reach the division 2 before me? How could you react in my situation? You are not just able to compete,you are surpassing teams that are here before you, but are in too strong leagues to move on...

Do you think it's fair? Are you still for the new reorganization?

You're actually illustrating the point. With 62 strength, you should hit the playoffs in league III, no problem. The issue is that in III.2 you wouldn't. It's not because you'd be in the wrong place, but rather because many of our teams are. When a guy has 113 strength in a league III, he'll crush your team every time.

So the idea for reorg that I'm suggesting is not to stop you guys from making the playoffs, but it's to adjust the leagues according to strength thereby allowing you to have fun in a competitive environment and avoiding to have teams be promoted to a league where they're so outclassed that they might stop playing after having had 300 goals scored against them.

How about this:

II.1 <-- III.1, III.5, III.9, III.13
II.2 <-- III.2, III.6, III.10, III.14
II.3 <-- III.3, III.7, III.11, III.15
II.4 <-- III.4, III.8, III.12, III.16

That the branches that feed upwards will be more balanced through promotion of the lower leagues. The same would be true for IV feeding III.

That could help, yes. It would diversify the entrance to an upper league. It does not resolve the current disparity but it could help balance the leagues better in the future. The only issue I'd see in this is the strength and weakness of the current system which creates rivalries that endure beyond promotion. And yes, it's the weakness because it used to condemn anyone in the leagues under a very strong one to have to pass through that very strong league in order to progress while other teams at their level had an easier time progressing.

It doesn't solve the problem.It's easier for the others the reach the div 2,even if theirs is less strong.I don't want the III.2 to change completly.

It will change it. Because some countries will have only 7 third divisions. Under the current system 4 would feed II.1, 3 would feed II.2 and 0 would feed the other two. Under the new system that I mentioned each league would have two except for II.4 that would get 1. Much more even. This would parallel in the fourth division which would be more relevant to Canada.

You are upset because a "weaker team" is poised to promote. It's early in the season.
