im well aware there are idiots all over the globe. Hell, we even had a World War over it. But as I just stated, it seems to be more prevalent there. Thats not an opinion, thats a fact. Even the people of Boston will tell you that.

Reading through some forums, the consensus on why the people of Boston think they're so racist, is because of their large Irish population, which is funny, 'cause that in itself is racist.

Google "Home of the KKK Ontario" and my hometown will pop up.

When I was a kid, I lived in east vancouver. I was in a school where there were fewer white kids, we were the minority. I then moved to Surrey, which has a LARGE Indian population. After a few years in Surrey, my family moved out to the suburbs. When I got there, it was a real eye opener.

The school I attended in the burbs had only 1 indian kid. The poor kid couldn't even go outside at lunch because he would constantly get into fights, just for being the indian kid. The most disturbing part to me, was the fact that everyone, teachers included would call the kid "Chocolate Rocket" because he was a fast runner, and he was brown. This was so confusing to me as a kid because of where I came from. We always played together in East Van, and Surrey because if you didn't play with the kids of other races, well, then there weren't many others left to play with. So to see this kid, that had to sit by himself at lunch breaks was just sad. Yes, racism is alive and well here in Canada.

Hopefully some day all this garbage will end, though I really doubt it will. I'm about to get all nerdy, but I almost wish we would hurry up and discover life outside our planet, so that we can start to look at ourselves as the human race rather than black/white/brown/whatever.

Poor kid. In my school, small town in tobacco country Ontario, there was one black family. So one boy and his sister in my school. Same thing... he was really fast runner but always got into fights. He did shoot his mouth off a bunch mind you.

In small town bc we had one black family and one Indian family, I don't remember any racism towards them, in fact they were both in the "cool" group of people.

Agreed. I always got along with him. But I get along with darn near everyone. Heck, I even got along with TheChad... even though I still don't know his real name.

As for racism, we have very few black people in my hometown... I mean very few.
One guy, he was "Black Jeff" because there were multiple Jeffs, but only one black guy. No one was racist to them. We also had a couple black girls. I hung out with them, and didn't judge them on the colour of their skin. One of the black girls was really abrasive though.

I think racism is completely retarded. Where I work a lot of the staff is Asian or Indian (from India/Pakistan/etc.) (well, they come from Brampton). I don't care where anyone is from, we just need to learn to respect the differences of others.

Holy crap you guys, I just realized TheChad and I finally kicked off a MEANINGFUL conversation*. Something much deeper than our usual "Canucks suck" "No they don't asshole".

Sure it all started with us flinging shit at eachother, but it ended in us flinging shit at racists, and who doesn't want to fling shit at racists? Let this be a lesson to you all. If Biznows and Drunken Monkeys can get along, there is hope for all humanity.
