To each their own. When the game isn't fun anymore, quitting is the way to go. I still enjoy it, but the game creators stacked odds against themselves when they stopped improving it.

We have all known that for many, many years. Continually bringing it up won't change anything. This game is "as is", and that is more than enough for me.

Someone offered 94M for Terry Daoust, a 2600 OR center on my team who will unluckily turn 2/6 next season. Not worth the pricetag. I will gladly take my 47M compensation for letting him go. Looking forward to seeing who overpaid like that. Probably a team in Slovakia or Tchequia.

I had a similar situation in soccer where three players came up at the same week, all offers over $100,000, grand total just short of $500,000.!!!
Paid the ransom, and now they will be "on the market".!! Won't be able to afford it next season.!!!

Sorry, numbers were 3 over $100,000,000 and total just under $500,000,000.

On top of that, I'm paying almost $2,000,000 per day to keep young national team players in a good training environment.!!

Right. That is kind of my calculation. If I was to put him on the market, he may get anywhere from 30 to 50M. By taking the 47M now, I am getting near optimal return and don't have to pay the first 47M to end up putting him on the market again someday for less money. Daoust was a good young player, but his CL didn't hold up very well. He was my 4th line center and I can replace him with a cheap young player who may actually be a better long term player.

Whoever bid on him is going to be really disappointed next season when he drops to 2/6!

To be clear, I did the lines in both this year's and last year's tournaments, both times by mutual consent with the GM of record.
Last season's relegation was not due to gross incompetence, but lack of good luck as often happens in the tournament. After a loss to Estonia in which all the numbers except the score were in our favor, we finished in a three way tie for relegation. USA had the better goal differential, so Canada and Estonia were relegated.
P.S. Paul it does not matter who reports on team activities as long as is accurate. (You may have to have your researcher look that word up in the dictionary.)

Wouhou! First final of the National Cup for my team. I look forward to the matchup Bobba Fett! My team isnt quite as good as yours, but all is possible in a single elimination game!

Pretty pumped to have beaten the 8th highest OTS team in the Champions League playoffs. Facing #10 in the next round so hopefully can pull off another win.
