I have to admit, winning a game on a PK in the 86th minute feels dirty, but I'll take the two extra points.

My goaltender must be getting bored. He only faces one shot every two games.

Tell him to try scoring then since the only two blemishes on your team record this season are 2 scoreless draws.

It seems that I forgot to change my match intensity for today. As a result, I gave up my second goal of the season and fell out of first place.

The Firestorm won an extremely close game against the Nome Icebergs, playing without Dolezi. The Lunatics are still in contention, but today's tie was a huge blow to their promotion plans, though it's definitely still possible for them to promote.

I plan to burn energy for the rest of the season and use my older players to hold onto my position. I can probably afford one tie due to my GD.

The only game that I can see the Nome Icebergs losing is the one against the Popes. My only two challenging matches will be against the Lunatics and the Tripwire11.

I still haven't given up more than 2 goals, 34 games into the season. Jeff Leclair must have one of the longest goal-less streaks in the world at 2,101 minutes (nearly one and a half days)!

Thanks. I'm more focused on my infrastructure right now than I am the team itself. We'll see where I am in a few seasons.

I was surprised as well. I did play on very high importance, but I didn't put in my best players (I was using 2 younger midfielders instead of my older midfielder and older 3rd forward - that would have helped a lot in for the penalty shootout), and I could have changed my formation. Even so, I outshot them 14-1 and only gave up 2 goals in the regular season.

I'm not upset, though. I wouldn't have had a chance to advance too far in the SuperLeague Cup, and trying to do so would have been a waste of energy. If the Nome Icebergs use a lot of energy on it next year, it could make things more interesting next year in this league for the handful of teams on the cusp of competing for promotion.
