News From Soccer And Handball
Hi friends,
we are approaching a new season in soccer and it's time to make a few announcements. First of all, we should give you a list of countries which will have league regrouping at the end of the season:
Africa, Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, North America, Oceania, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela
Last season we announced that Ireland and Kazakhstan would get merged into European and Asian league respectively. However, due to a bug this didn't happen. We haven't been able to find out why it went wrong, but we will give it another go and try to merge these leagues. We will also add Azerbaijan to this list which should be merged into Asia if all goes well.
News from handball
As you may remember, we had a poll regarding the economy in handball a few weeks ago. The overwhelming majority of you have voted that the player salaries should be reduced. And so, from this moment on, the player salaries will be reduced by 25% across the board. The change does not apply to existing contracts. Only new contracts will be affected, so it will take a while for this to become noticeable.
We believe, this change will make the game better and we hope to retain more teams and prevent a large number of teams from going bankrupt. At the same time we think that the game will still remain a challenge for those hard core managers who like it that way.
That's all, enjoy the game!
