Asunto: Senior NT Discussion - Ireland ONLY

"I would love to know your suggestions for finding these players. How would you go about it?"
- hard work, manually checking all top teams in the game
- advertising your NT database
- waiting (this is what leaving free spot is good for)

You guys claim that your strategy is geared towards the future... but what exactly this means? Is it the next season? Or is it the season after that? Training bonus and experience bonus in the NT games should be used wisely... the same applies to chemistry gain. If the bonuses are shared among 50 players, the effect is 50% lower than if it's carefully selected 28 players. Also, I wonder what information have you used to determine the future prospects of the NT... are you guys sure you have picked the right players? It is an extremely difficult task... have you taken into account player's qualities? Have you taken into account training and rege facilities of the owner (and player's average training)? Have you asked the owner what his future intentions with this player are? Isn't he going to sell him? If the player is sold to an unexperienced manager, all your efforts with this player can be ruined immediately.. from day to day, the player may become useless for the national team. Plus, there is an aspect of uncertainty... the more you look into the future, the more uncertain it is. Player's career longevity can drop faster or slower... this way, from top Irish talent, you can have just an average player within a few seasons... again, if you invest into such player, you should be aware of that.

get help from other irish managers to search and scout players. you 2 arent alone, whole irish nation is behind yo uguys so im pretty sure that you would get great help for searching guys such as Rowland in all PPM leagues.

there are currently 30000+ hockey teams in the game. Even with help it would not be possible to look at them all to find an elusive single irish player that may have been transferred.

I had looked at every team in the irish league including their current players and those they had transferred. I had figured this would cover every single irish player in the game. However, what i didnt count on was irish teams transferring great players and then being disbanded. Roland was from one of these teams, my guess is that there arent any more and we know for next year about Roland.

As for the present vs future, my thoughts were to put the top 6 or so current players for each position into the squad and fill the rest with players that would likely make the team in the next season or two. This would give plenty of current players to fill 4 lines as well as allowing space for up and comers. The best of both worlds.

Any way, if you guys have specific suggestions please put them forward for Emerald to consider. Otherwise please just let him do his job and run the national team.

Our next game is this coming Saturday v Argentina on the road. With the Danish proving a very tough team, we're expecting more of the same this Saturday.

After the 4th time of asking, Ireland have won their first NT game, away to Argentina who narrowly defeated us in 2 previous games.

We won quite convincingly 5-3.

The line chemistry is growing, and therefore the team look better with each passing game.

We are still a long way behind regards player strength and experience, but hopefully the upcoming NT games will help us more to assess the team further.

I'd also like to take this moment to ask all managers with players in the NT to upload them to the Ireland Database, so we have the most up to date details available.
