last season it probably started a week to soon because of our mistake. So this season you will start one week later.

I’m not saying it would be better to have the player on other positions – just which they seems to appear in the wrong places – and in my opinion far too often to be realistic.
I have some more situations from my league match yesterday:
25' The LD pick up the ball to continue the game with a through-in. He threw it to the RM(quit long trew…)?. The RM passes the ball on to the CF who advances and play 1-2 with the CD(!).

I barley can imagine this mix of positions on the pitch…

45' CF looks up from his position in the defence and look for someone to pass the ball to.

What in the H**L is my CF doing in the defence? It’s clearly not his position!

50' Striker AIK have control of the ball on their own half of the pitch. CD play a ball forward. CM and NoNameTeam CM jumps for it. CM wins it and passes it on to LD who loop it over NoNameTeams defence and it land straight on CD’s(!) right foot who takes care about the ball. He makes the NoNameTeam CM and has only the NoNameTeam Goalie left to pass. The goalie rushes out to intercept with him and CD tries to loop over the goalie. But...

Why is my CD behind the opponent defense!? And why is the only one left between my CD and the goalie, the same opponent CM that just battled about the ball higher up in the pitch?

What I would like to know is what values that are calculated that makes my… “Wrong positioned players” to appear in these situations!?
I clearly would rather like to have my CF instead of my CD to get the ball behind the oponent defence...

I also have an issue about free kick and the Positions of them.
Below I have 2 situations where I did get free kick's in the match:

33' CD is looking for someone to through the ball to. CM searches a free area and gets the ball. NoNameTeam RM gets to him, but becomes standing on his heals when CM passes him with 2 quick steps. NoNameTeam RM tries to repair his mistake, but uses his hands. Ref calls a free.
33' Ref gives the signal to Striker AIK for the free kick. The LD will take the free and tries to shoot around the wall and succeed with it. The ball goes to the crossbar and misses with inches.

56' LD advances from his defensive position and make him playable. CM spot’s his team mate and passes the ball to him. The LD advances with the ballot the edge of the penalty box without any challenges from the opponent, but he takes too much time and the retreating NoNameTeam CM(!) can steal the ball from his feat and start a counter attack. A call is made by the ref - NoNameTeam CM did take the ball in an incorrect manner. Striker AIK gets a free in a very good position.
56' CD and CM are talking about who will take the free. CM will have the honor. CM lifts his hand and makes a cross...(!?)

Why is it that every time my team gets a free in a “good position” – the real position is on the wing or too far to shoot as in the 2nd example)?
The only time I get chances to “shot” on a free is when it’s NOT a “good position” (first example)!

Then the last issue I have from the live feed is how the statistics are calculated.

61' LD put up the ball for the free and sends his team mates into the penalty box. He back up far, this will be a shot directly on the goal. The Ref give the call and he send of a hard curve-ball around the wall and straight into the bar. NoNameTeam RD takes care of the rebound and clears it of out of the dangerous area.

This shot in the bar counts as SW (!) when it clearly is ON goal! Why not as ST? I’m not sure about statistics in other countries, but surly shots that hit the bar will be counted as shot ON goal – not of goal…?

Last time tried to rise under discussion are the scoring chances predetermined or are they open ended. Obviously i failed to explain myself to you and you missed my point entirely. Bear with me while i try again..

What i mean by predetermined or open ended scoring chance? Well lets have an example. Everyone is familiar with live feed chance where goalie kicks the ball to the center line and there is battle between teams for possession of the ball. This one seems to happen every game. Well, what i have found out is there is at least three possible outcomes for this event:

1. team a gets the ball and a scoring chance
2. team b gets the ball and a scoring chance
3. Referee blows to the whistle and the event ends.

Now, if the live feed chance is predetermided, let's say it is a change for team a. There is some calculations made and the result is resolved. (goal, not goal or referee whistle). If this is the case the only possible results are the numbers 1 and 2, right?

And if the live feed chance is predetermined for team b. Then the possible results are 2 and 3. You get the point.

Now to the interesting point. And this was my point in the last discussion. I used wrong expression and talked about multiple calculations and scenarios. Perhaps i should have spoken about multiple calculation points?

If the live feed chances are open ended then all those three options are open and the outcomes are decided in these calculation points.

Well, if the engine works open ended then how many of those calculation points are there in the single event? I don't know. Can the translators answer this? Perhaps, i assume it depends how the system is built. To the user level both ways look the same.

Now lets theorize little and get back to the example:

"Goalie kicks the ball to the center line"

Is this one calculation point where something could happen? Is there any calculations involved in this? Perhaps somekind passing check? I doubt it, i haven't seen any other outcome than ball flying nicely to centerline.

"The battle between teams at the centerline"

This is definetly a calculation point with multiple outcome options.

"Team A wins the ball and passes to player A, who passes to player B, who shoots and scores"

Are there multiple calculation points? Or is this whole sequence one "big" point? Can the first pass fail and team B get a counter attack? If it can, then there is a more than one calculation point.

Perhaps i should stop here, for know...

And the questions:

1. Are the live feed chances predetermined or open ended?
2. If open ended, how many of them in average event?
3. How many possible outcomes for each event are there? (on average)

Is pass or cross or dribbling statistical category?
If I look match report there is only shots and fouls as individual statistic.

So if there is pass, dribbling and cross in game calculations, could you please make us see those statistics in match report ?

This is a cut and paste from Guide:

"Left defender has a certain influence on the play of the midfield (especially on the left wing), on the play of the central defence and a small influence on the right defence and the left offence. His influence on the right offence is negligible.
The closer the player is to the opponent's goal, the more influence he has on offence and less on defence. The closer he is to the left touchline, the bigger his influence on the left sectors and lesser on the right ones."

So, take a look at this picture and keep an eye on position of Left Defender (LD):

Position A: Left Defender (LD - Radojkovic) will give as much defence as he can to LD and will influence others sectors around him.

Position B: Left Defender (LD - Radojkovic) will give less defence to his natural position LD than in case A, but will increase offence of team (especially on the left side).

Position C: Left Defender (LD - Radojkovic) will give less defence to his natural position LD than in case A, but the same like in case B. In the same time he will give more defence to Central Defence (CD) and to some extent to Right Defence (RD).

Position D: Left Defender (LD - Radojkovic) will give less defence to his natural position LD than in all previous cases but will increase offence of the team (especially on the left side and in center), also he will increase the defence to Central Defence (CD) and to some extent to Right Defence (RD) but less than in case C.

Can this have an influence on (a) individual players marks (I guess so, depending how they're balanced, they might better influence other positions or not) and (b) on star ratng for teamwork and individual skills, hence on total team strength?

LOL essentially, the closer a player is to his ideal position the better he will play. so a defender who moves up into the forward area will be less effective than a midfielder up in the forward area, and so on.

The story goes same as for LD with one exception. I will quote the part of the Guide:

"Universals, play equally well on the right, left and in the centre. The universals are the best choice for the positions in the centre because the players in the central positions influence the play on both wings. If, for instance, you put a player who prefers to play on the right into the centre, his influence on the left wing will be somewhat decreased."
