2 games left for the first half of the season and I can still smell playoffs
I doubt i will make it but i am having an impressive first time D2 season so far, IMO.

playoffs aren't likely but i am impressed with your point total so far. I think you will avoid relegation which is the best thing for your team at this point
Good game. I woudl have gone higher but it is too early. I still got a pt which works for me. GG
Very important win against Bohemians today. Now I am closer to 8th place (2 points behind) as as Bananas lost, "only" 10 points from 7th place.
The battle for 8th place is very wide open as 6 teams are 10 or less points behind 8th place.

It's definitely pretty wide open everywhere. Some spots this year will probably come down to a key win here or there this year.
yeah... i got my camp going but still a good result, my lines are a little off right now with some of the guys out. agreed about too early to burn energy. playoffs will be anyones
Just came here to give you congrats, bulls.
Last 10 mins. did me in.

thanks. I didnt think i could pull this win, but i went all in as i thought it was win or go home for me.
hoping for a few wins and a miracle run over the last 18games to get into position to play in the regulation round. 13points out now
Yeah, I was eyeing that 8th place spot last week, and decided to invest a little energy into my game against the Bohemians. His goalie pulled out a 52-save shutout, and mine let in 5 goals on 21 shots. Reminding me again why I should just focus on not relegating this time around.
you are still in the game for the 8th spot. I think its too earlier to give up.
Unless you are directly relegated (unlikely) chances are very slim you would lose a relegation match.

you will need more than a miracle. Will need to buy a few players and do it now (although it may be a bit too late for that)
you could "easily" pass black flyers and podhale.
Oregon Jeepsters and Rochester are a bit too strong for you to recover that many points without investing in players.
Allegany has, in paper, better team. But you could easily build a stronger one by purchasing a couple of players.
Problem is: even if you somehow manage to beat Allegany, you would have to beat one out of rochester and jeepsters.
It is not too late to try: i think my team's strenght were as good as yours when i started.
If you can improve the team the way i did and score 32 points while oregon and rochesters score only 14 you could avoid direct relegation.

I wouldn't say I'm going to give up, but I should be careful to save some energy for the first round of the playoffs and, if necessary, the relegation round, because it's not likely that I'll make that #8 spot this time around. It's only 8 points away, true, but there are five teams that I'll need some help from along the way, and a couple of those are more talented than mine and better rested.
Really, I'm just getting tired of sitting in the bottom half of the standings, after three crummy seasons in I.1. I haven't had a winning record since season 10, and this silly game of not trying against top teams to save energy against the few I can possibly beat got old a long time ago. I can totally see how some guys make the top league and then get bored and quit the game. It's definitely better this season, but it'll be really nice in a season or two when I actually feel like there is at least a possibility of winning on any given day.

One of these days I'm going to beat the Brewers... once again we lose in amazing fashion at home no less. Good game.
