my understanding is that the quality of the players you get in the draft are random in each league so there is the same chance a player will be A or A+ or be a hidden gem etc.

if a league has a lot of teams who have invested in their sports academy and staff, their drafts will have more players in and they will pick more. they may also be able to scout more of them and increase their chances of drafting a better player.

Also there is a bigger chance these teams will get a player with higher OVR because they have invested.

In higher leagues it is likely that the teams scout their maximum number of players, and choose a good order. So unless your team has one of the earlier picks, there is only a small chance of getting a high quality draftee. (Every team has a chance because there may be a hidden gem)

My understanding is that the players are affected by the level of your sports academy. So an A+ player (for example) will have a higher OR if your sports academy is better, even though his letter grade (A,B,C,D) is the same.

Question: How do I limit a player from shooting an insane amount of 3 pointers our offense is not even set to 3 point shots? I wouldn't mind my players being trigger happy if well more than half of their attempts swishes in.

I think in your case there are 5 options:

- change your shooting preference to medium or short range shots
- change your target players to someone closer to the basket instead of PG
- change your offensive tactic
- change your alignment to 1-out-4-in so that your PG isn't behind the 3-point-line
- sub out your PG, he's too dominant

Personally I'd change shooting preference to 3 pointers and enjoy 49.2 % of them going in.

This is probably because this is the best shot option your players can find, and it might not be easy to find out why.
It could be because your PG/SG aren't good enough to find open players closer to the basket who can shoot.
It could be because your PG/SG have already given the ball to the SF/PF/C but the defense is so good they have to give it back to the PG/SG to shoot.
It could be because your PG/SG are ball hoggers!

I thought there some kind of penalty in the match engine if players play a full game (40 minutes).

When I look at players on the market, the AVQ doesn't match the calculated average quality using each attribute. I tried several different calculation methods but can't get it to match. In most cases, its not even close. How is AVQ calculated

If you do not have player scouted is AVQ calculated solo. It is not the average of the qualities you see.

I wonder which is more accurate. Does avq take into account position?

Both AVQ and each attribute should be accurate (and match each other). However, you *must* scout them first using scouting. Otherwise all the quality numbers you see are an inaccurate guesses.

Any idea why my coach called a time out at 20:12 after my player committed a personal foul? The opposition didn't score or get free throws? And it was the first thing in the 3rd quarter that happened...

It looks maybe as though it didn't reset properly at the end of the 2nd, at the point where the timeout was called you'd conceded 5 consecutive points but all between 19:08 and 20:00. Definitely a bug though I would think, there's no sensible reason for a timeout to happen at that point.

Whats going on with groups for WC in basketball for U-19 and U-17 selections?
It says that starts 24.10.2015 and there is no groups. We will not be able to scout our opponents....
