There is written in tournament profile page that tournament will have 9 day.
So, 5 group days + R16 + QF + SF + F = 9

I don't know for sure, it might be as in ppm hockey Wcs, pairing A-C and B-D, using the real handball system:
A1-C4
B2-D3
C1-D4
D2-B3

but it also can be using overall ranking after group phase, like in ppm champions league. i hope it's the first one.

In the player page there is a field that represent the side.
This value (R,L,U) is referred to the favourite side of the player or to the hand that the player uses at most??

Favorite side = position must play
Ex: winger (L) would play better at LW

I read that in handball left-handed player should play on the right side, and i thought about that but is not a problem in this game

That is true, but on the player page the L, R or U refers to the side of the pitch he prefers to play on, not which hand he uses
