I don't know what you are talking about? Are you referring to a team that has a goalie like that, or speaking hypothetically?
hypotheticaly, because you said "teams who have a less quality team to compete" and I said that weak teams don't have that kind of goalies and can't compete.
No offense Emerald, but I think what it boils down to is that Goalie's pucks (12) easily beats the other teams' top offensive line (9)... Also the other teams' shooting is not as good as the team who won.
I don't see a problem with that result, based on the pucks, which is what the game engine uses to simulate games.

So a team who isn't great, but is able to spend their entire seasons earnings on a goalie wouldn't possibly have a "great goalie?"
And I was speaking more along the lines of relative strength. A team new to say II.1 with a good goalie will have a better chance to catch up in the league than a team who joins II.1 with one good scorer and no goalie.
The goalie is the only player who plays all 60 minutes, therefore yes, 1 player will ALWAYS be more important than a player who's splitting time with 3 to 2 other lines

Ok, as I said - you shouldn't always try to imitate RL 100%. This game has several parts were that is not the case, and it's ok.
Now, I said that I can't believe a weak team can save 100 millions and buy such a goalie, even if his manager does that (which is freakin' odd and almost impossible), how many teams in PPM will actually do that ?
What is 50 millions to Legmann (just example) and what is 50 millions to some guy from II and III league ?

I don't agree that it shouldn't be imitated, but i'm speaking now in game terms only
How many minutes a game would you say your top center plays. How many minutes a game does the goalie play.
the goalie is always going to have a more important role in the game because of that. So of course teams with a player who is really good and plays 60 minutes is going to have a greater impact than a player that only plays 23.

I didn't say "Hey this is not ethical and goalies from the game will feel bad !"
I said those things for the sake of other managers. I just feel managers will catch up easier if this is not the case.

It's not hard... just involves paying a lot of money.
I still fail to see how "goalies are overpowered"
To me this sounds like another case of oops, i lost a game, it's not fair that I lost, something must be wrong, let's blame the goalies this time.
Of course then that leads to well, the teams with better money like high OTR or who stay in lower leagues or day traders, they can afford goalies.
Therefore goalies are overpowered, and the game is broken, which explains why I lost.

Goalies aren't overpowered. Anybody who watched Steve Mason carry an mediocre Blue Jackets team 2 seasons back knows this.
But... when people use daytrading to earn money, or have the luxury of extra OTR gains due to comps, then it is the game that is broken, now the goalies skills.
