Congrats to Germany on their bronze medal.
Another tough game against a first star goalie.
Today marks the end of a season where it could be said that we did marginally better than last only by virtue of the fact that all the games were closer than last season.
It also marks the beginning of the start of all the work and preparation to do marginally better again next season and come back with our first medal.
Player selection has already started and training for next season will begin immediately. New potential starters have been found at some positions. Thanks to all for your support and confidence.

Benoit currently has the 8th best OR overall for centres, which is higher than 3 current centres on the team, one of whom is a 0/6. All that's left to consider is the effect of experience. Unlike chemistry, it cannot be increased quickly.
You'll be hard pressed to find many pre-UFA guys with his development curve and more than 100 Exp like he does.
He's definitely going to be on the team. May even get a few friendly starts. Top 5 starters are over 3000 OR with minimum 250 experience.
Ya centers are quite common. His OR/age is quite good though. He'll surpass many current starters for OR at their age, but won't have the Exp luxury of being an early-game pull and playing from 15yo through 31.
Ducharme's on a similar OR path, and he's already got 113 exp under his belt. Still needs a few seasons to catch up though.
Just for interest's sake:
From this season's national senior team:
#2 goalie had 257 EXP and 2861 OR
#8 defenseman had 249 EXP and 2546 OR
#4 centre had 226 EXP and 3082 OR
#8 winger had 254 EXP and 2685 OR
As you can see, the centre position is
by far the hardest postion in the line-up
for your player to crack.
Also, notice the high levels of EXPERIENCE that
are required to be a starter.
All of these players are also at 100% national CHEM.
Many players have well over 300 EXP and two are over 400 EXP.
420 and 470.
Hope this clarifies things for some of you who
are wondering why your player with
100 EXP and 2500 OR
is not starting on the national team.
I am always available to answer your questions about

"For those of you who do not want to read on further, let me summarize my findings now. Chemistry adds a 25% bonus and experience adds a 20% bonus. These bonuses are added to the energy-modified player build. For those of you who want to see the numbers and equations on how this works to test it on your own, read on."
The entire article can be found in the PPM magazine.

can you post a link to the article please... I cant find it
Can we open up a discussion on the implied 20% boost for exp?
Also, I believe the shooting does NOT receive any bonus from exp.. Is that correct?
Also, I believe the shooting does NOT receive any bonus from exp.. Is that correct?
also, i noticed that all the final games at the World's wre contested with only 3 lines, for both teams. obviously just playing your top 15 skaters is advantageous but is there something in ppm that makes it extra so?
