I have a 28 year old as my oldest, then 23 year olds and younger.
Average roster age is 18.6
Average age for my lineup is probably around 20-21

Ya my average is 19.4. I've slowly been injecting youth into my team, 2-4 guys a season, but this "youth" is generally 18+ in terms of age.
Guess that means my team has finally reached a mimicry of real life... since youth prospects don't get called out of the junior team ranks until they are around 17-18 at best.
yeah. It is getting more realistic.
I don't think we'll be seeing any Chelios types in this game though.

At least not for another 30 seasons.
We need all facilities maxed so that the youth aren't training any faster than the vets did.

Exactly. But there was a time where teams were made up of 15-16 year olds and everyone was all "WTF this isn't real". 15yo are the equivalent of draft picks to an OHL team and we're running a pro team. You get your 15 year olds, train them for 2-3 seasons in junior then they get called up to the bigs. Glad it's starting to level out in that sense, also in the monetary sense as well. However, the new OTR rules will inflate sponsor offers even more and teams will get massive pay hikes once again, adding another 3-4 seasons before they plateau in terms of finances and have to start cutting players/staff/facilities to keep the budget balanced.
Yeppers.
This game just starts getting figured out, and they go and change it.
I like the static ticket price, but would prefer a bit more micro-managing for the finances.

Agreed. Something where you make the price more and less people come. So if you're selling out every game raise the price etc. Add to that, selling out may not always make you the most cash... BUT... selling out gives more fans = more of an advantage in terms of winning.
Ooooo this is getting intense!

No, I don't like having to adjust ticket prices every game.
It is stupid, after 3-5 seasons the 'optimum formula' is figured out and everyone just copies everyone else.
One of the major reasons I liked this was not changing ticket prices.
I'm talking more about salaries. I shouldn't be able to sign a team full of stars, there should be some sort of decision about who to keep and who to trade/sell.

I don't think so... attendance is based on how good your opponent is among many other things. Each opponent would mean a different ideal price value.
But I agree, you should have 2 good lines. A decent 3 line and a young 4th line. I'm pretty much there now.

I don't like the micromanaging of changing ticket prices.
It is so tedious and annoying.
They don't change ticket prices every game in the real leagues, why should I have to in my sim game?

You can't set it to once a season.. then if you mess up you're screwed for a whole year.
