It's not 'wiki-type' knowledge .... it's just a 'sport-addicted' thing !

Since there has been a of talk about the next sports to start up after Soccer and Ice-hockey. I'd like to contribute my opinion.

We have now two team-sports available. I'd like to see that the next one would be something different - I mean at the end of the day managing a soccer team and a ice-hockey team is more or less the same. There are differences but still about same.

So next I'd love to see something different. Formula 1 would be natural next or perhaps Tennis. I think that one of those would give more diversity to the PPM service and more large bases for different audiences.

So Tennis or Formula 1 would be what I'm looking forward into seeing here!

Thanks! Here is the format for up to 7744 teams (which should be able to handle Slovakia and the Czech Republic).

There would be 352 leagues. The 1st place teams would go into a 4-round double elimination playoff:

R1: 352 => 176 undefeated, 176 won loss.
R2: 176,176 => 88 undefeated, 176 one loss.
R3: 88,176 => 44 undefeated, 132 one loss.
R4: 44,132 => 22 undefeated, 88 one loss.

The same format would be used to divide 2nd, 6th, and 22nd place teams (the other places might have a for-fun competition)

DI: 1/16 (undefeated) 1st
DII: 4/16 (undefeated) 1st.
DIII: 11/16 1st, 5/16 2nd.
DIV: 11/16 2nd, 3rd-5th, 5/16th 6th.
DV: 11/16 6th, 7th-21st, 5/16th 22nd.
DVI: 11/16 22nd.

Formula 1 has the possibility of players taking different roles: team owners, drivers, track owners, car builders, etc.

That might overcomplicate it slightly.

and back to the rugby thing:
I'm not saying nobody has heard of these sports, i'm just saying that something like rugby might be a little bit more interesting

Oh, I'm sure it does, but I'm more interested in it because there are plenty of basketball and baseball games like this out there. This is at least more unique.

yeah but I can only find two rugby manager games out there and to be quite frank, its all just tables, not very fun at all.

Interesting... this site claims volleyball more popular than soccer... if you include junior players maybe... no, i still don't believe it to be accurate.

I think this might be rather interesting and definitely a approach that has not been tried before. And I think that might be awesome. Complicated to get the head around in how to organize it - however if a simple interface would be cooked up - it might be really interesting.

I mean you could be just a team owner - buy the engine and chassis from manufactures (NPC at the start) and get the drivers from free markets.

OR

You could go all the way - your team would build up it's own engines, chassis and have it's own driver training center. Then you could rent out the engines as they get better or let other people buy the chassis designs.

I think if one should take up the challenge to be different in F1 managing game - it might just work out so that the ones playing currently F1time or Gpro would try PPM's F1 manager and eventually play just in PPM

It's a risk and requires good planning but as an idea it would have potential to be far better than the formula 1 manager games we have so far.

btw guys, if you are looking for a good rugby game, I have played Black Out Rugby for a while and that game was pretty decent.
