So I was wondering when people like to start playing rookies in friendly games for chem/ exp. I set a line up that was made up of mostly my rookies, but there is a noticeable decrease in training for the day that they play. My TF is 10 and my regen is 9.

I have some 15-17 year old players in there, and I was wondering if this is a good idea, or wait till they're older to start, as it seems like this would impact their training.

Players can't get substantial chem in friendlies, unfortunately. If they aren't as near as good as old guys, let them wait more for their first team chance.

i start playing them if i believe they will be just as good as the players ahead of them one season after

I play a second line up in most games that don't matter, I like the few extra experience the kids get after a few yrs of friendlies and playing a couple meaningful games when I camp mid to late in the season. Chemistry never stays till they get a full season in for me.

Looking at the last two playoff games I played, I got a substantial number of penalties, compared to none for my opponent.

Is this just a matter of low tec on some players, or is it influenced by tactics too?

So I made a offer on a free agent. It was the highest offer. It now says that the agent chose to extend his contract with his current club. It also says I don't have enough money to bid on players when I do. Is my 6 mil offer locked in for the full week even though he is staying with his current club? This doesn't seem fair to me.

Its locked for the entire week. That is the crappy part of bidding on rfa. I think they should change it, but there seems to be no interest in that.

So my top dman is going to become a rfa when his contract expires. I've never had a player reach that yet and I'm trying to figure out what to expect in terms of offers on him.

i spend a slot of time watching RFA's he could be anywhere from 2 to 20 million. I would be surprised if he was much over 5 though.

All this talk about leagues lately on the forums... I'm sure I don't quite understand the system. The guide is helpful but still a bit cryptic.

I've noticed that it doesn't seem like I'll ever get out of III.3 and appear doomed to always be a middle-of-the-pack team in the league. As ashamed as I was, I even tried to relegate once just to get into a new league after spending a season in IV, but my opponent in the relegation round wasn't good enough to beat me even with my goalies on the first line, my best players benched, a rookie d-man as a goalie, playing on VL, and purposefully missing tactics.

A testimonial in favour of promotion/relegation reform.

An idea:

Every division can have inter-divisional playoffs for promotion.

I think that only one division II team should promote to I per season (two, max). A proportional figure should come up from III to II. 4 is a good number, I think. 1 per division.

A consequence is that more game days are added to the schedule and the season lasts longer.

Some solutions: 1) lower divisions could play a round-robin (1 game each, with tie breakers), 2) consolation rounds can be extended, 3) a tournament added for eliminated teams.

Thoughts?

You mean like cross-over games? Or only in playoffs?
