Auto cancelling of games. Slovakia for examples starts NC week 1. If someone in NA has a friendly lined up it is canceled the night before and you cannot sign up for a new one.

How does starting all the cups at the same time change that situation? The problem is that the draw for Slovakia and the Czech Republic have their draw on short notice.

They could either do the draw earlier, or simply block scheduling of matches against teams that potentially have a match scheduled. So Slovakian and Czech teams would have Tuesday blocked out, until they were eliminated.

Other countries would have a later period blocked out.

Everyone would have games the first week (excluding teams with buys). It would reduce the number of cancelled games.

the only reason why the draw is made on short notice, is that it's the first Tuesday of the season. If everyone will start on the first Tuesday, this problem will be more or less eliminated. Although there will still be people who got a bye or such who have not qualified for the cup, but that's another story.

41% of Polish teams had a first round bye. 26% of Latvian. So they would schedule a match against a Slovak team, and it would get cancelled and the Polish or Latvian team would still have to schedule a match on short notice.

The first Tuesday isn't used because it is desirable, but because it has to be used, for 8192 teams to participate.

Maybe a better solution would be to reduce the Slovak and Czech cups to 4096 teams and start the 2nd week. The top Slovak team to lose was the 1012th seed, 14 of the top 2048 (0.7%), and 66 of the top 3084 (2.1%). Only in matches between the middle 2/8 was it competitive with the challenger winning about 30% of the time. When you have 48:0 matches, you need to wonder about having the match.

How about splitting Czech and Slovak cups into 2 parts of 4096, and start the second week. And then have 2nd chance cups for teams that lose each week.

Nice stats! And I agree. First round there isn't much point. It also gets those teams in the bigger countries more OTR as they play more games than here.

stop cancelling my tuesday games without telling me!

A Vlady stated earlier, they are going to move the national tournament to the begining of the season for all countries, so this will no longer be an issue. Until then, check the start date of your Tuesday opponents national tournament.

Taloncarde, would be nice to have a message telling me that the game had been cancelled so i can arrange a replacement...

They don't give notice when friendlies are cancelled because one team is in the NC. This would apparently be too much for the servers. That was mentioned somewhere a few seasons ago. I assume it's still true now.

By moving all NCs up to the first week of the season, no one would have cancelled friendlies because everyone would be playing in the NC. Well, everyone except those people in the lower leagues of the big countries.
