After a 4th straight loss to teams I should be beating I've had enough. I'm going to play my long-term players the rest of the season and likely relegate. I honestly don't get it anymore, it is insane. Have one of the better goalies in the league and surrender 3 first period goals today. Friday and Monday outshoot someone 40+ to <20 and lose. I can't take this anymore.
any sporting event outcome is unpredictable, and this is especially true for hockey. i believe that's one of the reasons why a nhl season is so damn long (to account for fluke outcomes by playing many games. regression to the mean is it?) the way i see it is that your team is on a cold streak, and it can happen to any teams. your team simply got the short end of the stick. you have a nice team that still has a great potential to end the season on a high note, so give your team a chance and cheer up!

I can't afford to drop those points. If I want to make it farther than last year (first round exit) I need to finish higher than 7th. Dropping these points won't allow me to do that (I haven't played any of the top teams yet!). So, I'm going to focus on EXP building and the NC. Hopefully I don't get a crappy draw and all of this is for nothing.

Today's loss cost me an 18mil sponsor bonus. Yesterday's loss, a chance at a big payday in credits in the Dany's. I feel your pain Scott.
Last week's losses hurt more than today's. Today's was just a crap goaltending display.
Welp, 10 games in and the Saints are in a playoff spot. I don't expect to stay there long as I'm using up energy a bit to win games against teams I'm close to in OTS, but last season I managed 25 points total, and we're already up to 18...

I've had similar results. I paid big money to upgrade my goaltending last season, and he's lost me games where I've doubled the other team in shots.
I wouldn't give up though. The season is young and your players will snap out of it.

I have all the tough teams left to play in the second quarter of the season. It isn't so "easy" as if the schedule was flipped.

Looks like I'm about to have 5 in a row. Shots 18-3 for me and still 0-0. I smell another Friday result: 1-0L with them scoring late in the 3rd.

I scored not one, but two goals! 2-0 Reds and shots 24-6 (mid-2nd) with my best-17 scratched.

Tough loss to take to my bitter rival in the *tenth* round of the shootout. What a marathon!
